"Owner Mike was great from the first phonecall. I chose him based on his 'A' rating and good reviews on Angies List. He came out and did initial measurements, made recommendations and provided estimates for Amerimax and Milgard windows.  I did not obtain any other bids as I felt his was fair based on research done on the internet, and based on an' estimate' given to me by a contractor years back who did other work on the house. <br /> I went with the Amerimax vinyl double paned windows. Mike took care of obtaining the city permit and advised me of the inspection process.The windows and door were ordered and arrived in about 3 weeks. Work then started within a few days and was completed in three full days by Mike's crew of 3 who were awesome.  They were professional, courteous, on time and were able to work around the excessive amount of furniture and 'stuff' all around the house. They took care to move or asked us to move some fragile keepsakes out of the way.  They also made sure to clean up any dirt and debris throughout the process. <br /> Mike has been in the business many years and is very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend him.  He and his crew provided experienced, quality, detailed workmanship.  My mother is very happy with her new windows and sliding door.  The house is now warmer, quieter and more secure.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"GVD Renovations replaced aluminum siding in front of the house and soffits around the whole house with the James Hardie fiber cement siding. They also painted the existing stucco and replaced all gutters. They also replaced 3 existing front windows. Initially, there were setbacks caused by supply chain issues with custom windows. This delayed the project by about 6 month. Once the project started, it was handled efficiently. The windows did not fit perfectly and the structure around the windows had to be changed. All the work was done perfectly and within the originally quoted price. We are very happy with the results."

"I first went to Bestoff's show room on Monument Blvd. in Concord.  I met the owner, Sergey's, son and he showed me several different options and  went into great detail about the pros and cons of each brand/type of window.  His son is young, but very knowledgable.  I made an appointment that day to have Sergey come over to give me an estimate.  He was on time, and very nice.  He measured all my windows, talked to me about how long it would take to manufacture the windows, and how long installation would take.  I had done some research beforehand, and had an idea of how much it was going to cost, and Sergey's estimate was lower than I had expected.  It took a couple of weeks to get the windows made, and then at exactly the time of the morning that Sergey had said his workers would show up, they did.  There were 2 men who took out all my old windows and installed the new ones, and they had it all done, and all cleaned up, in less than 8 hours.  Removing and installing windows has some inherent noise involved, but I work graveyard shift and was able to sleep through most of the installation.  One of the windows I had replaced was a really poorly thought out kitchen window.  Several of my neighbors who had had new windows put in did not have the lousy kitchen window done because the companies they had used had told them it would cost several thousand dollars for just that one window, because it was considered custom (I just considered it stupid and ugly looking).  Sergey told me he didn't anticipate any problems with the kitchen window, and didn't overcharge me for its replacement cost. That kitchen window is now my favorite window of all.  I have no blinds, curtains or anything on it, because the framing for the window is so nice.  I love all of my windows actually.  I am writing this review 9 months after I had the windows installed, and I have had no problems at all with them.  The amount of noise they block out is incredible, and during the summer I really noticed how much cooler it was in the house.  The difference in winter was even more pronounced.  The final cost of the windows was exactly what Sergey had quoted me."
