"The process was painless and easy. There were no high-pressure salespeople to deal with. We went online, told what we wanted, and ZEN sent us the quotes we needed. Alix and Matt were incredibly patient working with us. We had lots of questions and weren't exactly sure what we wanted. They worked through the process with us and helped throughout. Once everything was decided, the windows were ordered. Mind you, this was during the covid-19 shut-down but after 6 or so weeks, we got a call the windows were ready to be installed. Their ace installation team called (Dan and Brenda) everything was scheduled when we had a death in the family. We called and with great understanding, Matt and their team rescheduled the installation for a week later. Dan and Brenda were artists in their installation. They knew their installation process exactly - and what to do and when to do it. We are still amazed. They were a perfect team. We are so thankful for their calming presence as they worked and made jokes along the installation process (our family was on edge after the death of a close family member). They were promptly on time and there when they said they would be there. They cleaned up everything along the way. And they even cleaned the windows they installed. My 2 kids (8 & 4) loved having them around and we were all sad to see them go when they finished. I highly recommend Zen Windows to everyone looking for quality window replacements. "Extremely professional and efficient operation. The crew foreman contacted us by phone to discuss venting options (bathroom vent). All cleanup and shingling completed in one (1) day. Foreman also explained there was a 50%-50% chance that the DISH service may be interrupted - but it was fine after they removed and reattached the dish. It was raining lightly in the afternoon but the crew had the critical roof sections sealed off by the time it began raining. <br /> The owner, Ryan Johnson, put us at ease the moment we met him and we hired Right Roofing as soon as he completed the explanation of their services, guarantee, etc. We were impressed that Ryan had a prepared list of houses in our Urbandale area that Right had completed.  We were able to visit many of these houses to view shingle colors prior to ordering. <br /> We would not hesitate to hire them again - or serve as a reference for anyone looking for a roofer. <br />"

"There was a lot of overspray, my indoor controller for the over head door was sprayed but they replaced it. The East wall was short of of product along with a few other areas. I asked management to come out and they did . They brought the crew back out and made it right. This was a 30x56 area. I would hire them again."

"The finished result is really very good with exceptional workmanship. The design vision came primarily from the homeowners' but Oakwood largely delivered on the vision. There are a couple of details neither of us caught but there are also several details that Oakwood attended to that we would never have thought of or if we had could not have executed ourselves. For instance, we're experienced DIYers but Oakwood made sure that even existing walls' new sheetrock was shimmed to assure the walls were square. Oakwood brought in professional subcontractors including HVAC/plumbing, an artistic metalworker and custom woodworker. Oakwood was probably not the cheapest or fastest contractor but we squeaked more about details than schedule. We are highly satisfied with both the function and aesthetics of the result. It nearly doubled our living space. The lead Oakwood partner, Brett Bunkers, was positive and enjoyable even when doing some tasks for the first time. We've gone back to them for more."

"Mike was terrific to work with as we selected windows. We were a bit of a pain as we wanted some particular things but they got it all right. The installation crew was amazing. I didn't even have to take down window treatments. Cleanup was great. We found a total of 2-3 small pieces of metal after they left. Terrific company. We were very happy."

"We have used Red House Remodeling for two major projects on our home – upstairs hall bathroom and our kitchen and dining room. The projects were about 3 years apart and we came back to Red House for the more extensive kitchen and dining room project after the success of the upstairs hall bathroom. Ben is very organized in assessing the project and communicating the details. He also provides realistic expectations and guidance on the project to stay on budget and achieve our remodeling goals. The Red House team has a dedicated designer to help you with your project and picking out all the elements – floors, cabinets, counters, fixtures, etc. Our designer on both projects – Jenna – spent time with us at our home, at their office, and at various stores reviewing options and discussing pros and cons. She was very helpful in getting us the overall look we wanted in both cases and offered her opinions. She was also patient throughout the design process, allowing us to discuss and consider multiple options. One thing I especially appreciated is their recommendation that new elements can blend well with existing ones (like our new wood floors blending with our oak trim). Once all the details were settled and demolition began, Ben provided a detailed schedule for the project and stayed on schedule and communicated any major changes to that. With the bathroom remodel, the plumber accidentally damaged the new floor and Ben made sure this was replaced at no charge to us and tried to keep the schedule interruption to a minimum. With the kitchen remodel, we really had no major delays or issues come up. Ben and crew were very helpful in making sure our old cabinets could be salvaged for Habitat for Humanity Restore – which is a great way to keep used items out of the landfills and help low income homeowners looking to remodel. This also eliminated our need to have a dumpster in our driveway for the duration of the project. Ben’s crew and subcontractors were polite and generally very tidy in their construction process and accommodating to our requests through the kitchen remodel. Ben even delayed the demolition of our dining room at our request so we could have a bit more room for a couple extra weeks. Overall, we have had two great experiences with the Red House Remodeling team – from the initial consultation, thorough and dedicated design process, organized and timely demolition and construction, and follow up on the checklist of wrap up items – the team does an excellent job for their clients. We have plans to use them again in the future."

"Our experience with Xtreme roofing and siding was amazing from start to finish. Ben was extremely personable and easy to work with. We got our roof done last summer and our siding done after the derecho which caused some tension in the market but he kept constant contact with us to provide updates on what was happening and when we could expect it to be done. He was awesome about taking the lead in communicating with our insurance company, which was a huge relief for us with us filing our first home insurance claim. When it came time to replace the roof and siding the workers were courteous and worked very quickly so both jobs were finished in just one day. We plan on exclusively working with these guys for life, we can't imagine I'd get better customer service or quality from another company!"

"Windows are Nu-Vu.  The windows were last done probably in 2016.  We're only dealing with phenomenal people, so A's straight across the book.  The salesmen were very good and the installation people were very efficient.  To do the windows we had to go in three different sessions, so it probably took them a day or day and a half for each one.  Nu-Vu just does windows."
