They also poured a large concrete slab for RV parking and walk way that wraps around the house. Their work is high quality, everything is sloped well and leveled to match the existing structures like AC unit and crawlspace entrance. After a week there was a small area that had issues and Patrick agreed to repair it. I will use them for future projects."

"Our new driveway is absolutely beautiful! I can’t believe the difference. Our old driveway was a wreck, full of potholes and weeds. We kept trying to patch it but that never worked for long. It’s a really long driveway, about 60 feet. They also had to remove and replace a big section of city sidewalk that tree roots had lifted. That whole section is just perfect now. Joe and his crew were great to work with. Joe always stayed in close communication which is so important, and was able to get the city engineer to approve all the sidewalk and driveway approach change. "To start with, Todd returned my call in an hour, which is amazing. He gave us an estimate for raising slabs to level the sidewalk that was reasonable, and far cheaper than we paid five years ago to get new concrete sidewalk poured. When I mentioned that we had also been told to remove stretches of moss on the sidewalk, he offered to power wash it for less than it would cost to have guys come and scrape it off. After the power wash, we needed a re-inspection before he could get the permit, and he kept in touch to follow up with us on that. As soon as that was settled, he got the permit and finished the work in one day. It looked perfect. Another amazing thing -- I don't pay for the job until after we pass the final inspection. Todd is exactly what you wish every contractor was like (but they aren't)."

"Worth every penny. <br /> We purchased our house a little over a year ago. At the time of inspection, there were some issues with the chimney and the fireplace/firebox that were addressed and fixed by the owner before we finalized our purchase. <br /> Several weeks ago, we noticed new cracks and issues with the fireplace and some cracks in drywall on either side of the fireplace. We called the company who had done work several years ago to stabilize the chimney for the previous owner. They came to our home, assessed the situation, and then delivered a subtle yet pointed sales pitch based a bit on fear. <br /> We wanted a structural engineer to visit our home to review the fireplace, the chimney, the cracks in some of the drywall, etc. and give us an unbiased opinion. We saw Jay's high rating, and we liked his witty, logical replies to the few less-than-stellar reviews. He made very valid points. We noted that NO ONE seemed to take issue with his knowledge or work ethic. Jay was also recommended to us by two realtors who have used him to inspect foundations, etc. for buyers. <br /> Jay was on time. He was friendly, had a warm sense of humor and was very easy to understand. He spent 3 hours examining our property, looking at the crawlspace and chimney/firebox, taking measurements and answering every one of my 6,547 questions with great patience. His knowledge about the Portland area and our neighborhood in particular was very impressive. He noted that the "fix" suggested by the other company would not likely be a suitable one over time based on the jacks they would use and the type of soil in our neighborhood. He gave us some very practical advice, and when we asked (only when we asked), he referred us to some tradesman who could help us with some necessary projects. <br /> We have two large, rather obnoxious dog who, although crated during Jay's visit, barked at him with ferocious intensity any time he walked by them. Jay was very kind to them and didn't seem bothered at all. <br /> Based on this visit, we are considering hiring Jay to do some seismic retrofitting on our house. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Ed and his grandson Ryan transformed our deck from old and dilapidated to new and beautiful. I'm certain that our deck currently looks better than when it was originally built. Ed also poured a concrete slab next to the deck where a future hot tub will go. We're very happy with the finished product and have even talked with Ed about replacing an upper deck on our home. His price was great and we feel like we got a good deal considering the beautiful work. The installed steps are built so debris doesn't constantly gather underneath like the previous deck.
