"In this review I am covering two repair experiences I had with Sears Garage Solutions. #1 February, 2020 I had to replace my 13 year old springs. Technician Marcus Keenom, arrived on time, was very courteous, professional and was flexible to come up with a fix to resolve the issue. He pointed out few completely, unrelated, minor issues and fixed them too. His attention to details was very good and I am very happy with teh work. #2 November 2020: The 13 year old Garage Door Opener failed (motor or circuit boards). This time, I asked for Marcus. Marcus, once again did a detailed and thorough job. Overall, I am very happy with Sears Garage Solutions and with Marcus Keenom."

"I had a spring break and cables disconnect on my garage door. The breakage even bent my door at the top where the opener kept pulling after the break. I was told when I made the appointment that 75% of these issues can be fixed. Andy came out and said he could reinforce the bent door with a rail and bigger bracket, but didn't guarantee the gap from it being bent could be fixed (made sense). Within an hour, he had completely fixed the bent door including the gap at the top was GONE and no longer bent. He also did a tune up on my other door. He explained everything he was going to do and showed me how to lube the doors with what and when. He was amazingly fast. Excellent job!"

"Worker was punctual and fixed  both problems and then some I didn't have! Technician recommended new drums,bearings and rollers. I declined the rollers. Later, after further research, found that drums and bearings were a typical, not needed, add on that some companies use  to boost the bill. Just had another company replace springs on my other double door for $ 245 including Labor GDS charged $280 for the springs alone, plus $160 labor plus parts that were not needed. Granted, he did do a bit more labor however except for the bottom panel brace, it was  NOT NEEDED. I am very knowledgeable when it comes to home
repair, as I did a major remodel on this house as well as two rooms and garage addition! I usually do my homework, researching prior to having any service done. However, I was busy with other things and didn't do my normal research, and boy did I pay for It!!   The parts and labor were way too high along with replacing parts needlessly. Didn't realize how expensive this company was until I had to repair a broken spring on my other door. Went to Angie’s List and found that I wasn't the only one who experienced the high prices this company charges for much of their work. Check out their rating for yourself.
Called GDS and talked with the owner. Not very responsive to my overcharge concerns! Kept asking why it took so long for me to
contact with my concerns. Told him that I didn't realize it until I checked Angie’s list and had my other door repaired at a much lower price! In summary the work was fine but bill was excessive!
I would certainlyNOT RECOMMEND this company unless money is no object!

"The garage door/opener work great. Cody recommended replacing both springs. Not sure it was necessary, but I followed Cody's recommendation which really added to the cost of the job. Really pleased with the way the door works; it is not as noisy as it was before. Replacing the wheels made a big difference."

"Finally an honest Solar company!! I went through several companies trying to get quotes for one of my properties, either they were ridiculously expensive or they didn't return my calls. A friend of mine referred me to Mega Sun and I have to say I am very pleased. Within a couple days from the initial phone call I already had an estimate and once i decided to go with them the installation was completed in one week. Its been a little over a month since they completed the install and everything is working smoothly.
