"Zach, Omar, and Jaydon did a wonderful job! It has been a few months sense our crawl space was encapsulated and I wanted to see if the smell of our home would change at all. Our home went from smelling like mildew to having a clean smell when you walk in the door. Thank you!"

"Hail damage occurred in March of this year and I contacted Braswell Construction as well as 2 other local roofing companies. Chris Gaugler contacted me asap and came out to the house. The other two roofing companies I never heard back. Braswell Construction contacted my insurance company and worked out all the details. A week later I had a brand new roof with gorgeous colored shingles. Everyone in the neighborhood stopped by and literally knocked on the door to inquire. Chris Gaugler was onsite and available for questions anytime to the very end. The crew only took one day to do the house, extended 4 car garage and well house. Photos attached and it really makes a difference."

"Ricky Boger of Superior Home Improvement Remodel my kitchen; His work is EXCEPTIONAL he even helped me pick out color's, granite and offered sound advice. I thought his price was high at first, so I got other estimates and they were either the same or higher; Ricky came back and supplied me with an itemized list, down to the price of the canned lighting. It has been a few years and my kitchen still looks wonderful. I have hired other home improvement companies and have not been so pleased. The reason why I am writing this now (2012) is I recently remodeled my bathroom. An age old story - I hired someone that worked for a family member, the work took forever and looked OK, but underneath it was a mess! Shower leaked on all sides. I have called in Superior Home improvement to fix the job. I WISHED I WOULD HAVE HIRED SUPERIOR IN THE FIRST PLACE. <br /> THEY CLEAN-UP AFTER THEMSELVES. <br /> <br /> I wanted to put a and quot;Band quot; but I could not honestly do so."

"That particular company had been getting a bad rep before we used them. We went ahead and used them and it was not an insurance claim and they did an excellent job. They're competitive and very comparable to everybody else in our area. They're not any more expensive, they're not any less. They do a really good job, what they promise to do, they do."

"It was a couple of months ago they did the work.  It's fabulous and amazing.  I'm very happy with them.  They are incredibly professional and they are pretty flexible with work hours.  They worked with my schedule since I work full time.  They were truly professional and I trust them.  The biggest thing for me was that they were super clean.  They cleaned up after themselves when they were there and when they left.  I didn't have to walk behind them and I pick this opportunity to say that they were on top of everything.  They were wonderful.  Their professionalism was the main part because they worked for hours and they were very trustworthy.  Their work was excellent and they were willing to go above and beyond with their service.  I had some loose hinges so they just went through that and did them for me.  It was not a big deal and they didn't charge me for it.  They were really nice and very courteous.  They were excellent.  I'm actually having them quote me for something else.  They did a wonderful job and I was very pleased.                   "

"Excellent workmanship! Not only were all the employees professional, but the service they provided from start to finish was far beyond what I was expecting. They made sure to protect my yard, deck, plants, and pool, etc. from debris while reroofing our house. After completing our project, they made sure that everything was spotless including using a magnetic sweeper to sweep the yard for nails since we have young children that love to run barefoot in the yard. Since hiring Skyline to reroof our house, members of my family have used them too, not only for their roofing needs but for remodeling as well. I highly recommend Skyline Construction Services, Inc. to anyone with a roofing or remodeling need."

"Jake and his team are truly incredible. I have dealt with a lot of contractors over the years, and NONE of them come close to the experience Parkstone provided. Every other contractor wanted to tear down my fence and start from scratch, but Jake quoted me for both costs: to repair or to replace. I opted to repair it to keep my costs down, and they went right to work. Showed up when they said they would, kept me updated on progress, and the pricing was fair. I was relieved at the start and thrilled at the end. Since having mine done, I think 3 or 4 of my neighbors have gotten them to do the same. Definitely coming back to Parkstone next time I need any work done on my house."

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Boston, GA

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
