"After dealing with one other windows company delivering an aggressive sales push apparently characteristic for this industry, it was a pleasure to interact with Matt Rotondi, the owner. He provided all the information necessary, in addition the helpful online information, before making the sale, and there was no pressure for the more expensive models. He continued to be highly responsive and courteous even after we signed on the dotted line. The installation of 26 windows was done by a contracted team on the days it was scheduled to be done, and everything went well. The windows look very nice and provide the improved insulation we were hoping for. Obviously only time will tell how they hold up in the future, but I have full confidence that Matt will honor the warranty that should cover any potential issues. After the installation, one of the windows was hard to open and another one had a very small dent, probably from the delivery, but he fixed both issues without discussion. I recommend Zen Windows without any hesitation."

"Peter and his team were great. I met with Peter a within a couple of days after receiving my lead inspection report. He walked me through the report and areas in my house. He explained everything that his team would do to either remove or remediate the lead as I am preparing the property to rent it. He was able to accommodate my tight schedule and get the work done in less than one week. He arraigned for the reinspection and testing a couple of days after the work was completed. I passed the inspection and had my final report and certification within a couple of days from the inspector. I can’t say enough good things about Peter and his team. They were always available for questions and address all my concerns."

"AAA Rated Company!! They showed up on time and schedule, were extremely qualified and did excellent work. The install went perfectly, the 2 men that showed up were "craftsman". They vacuumed up the inside, picked up every little piece of scrap left over, carted away my old windows and overall displayed a high level of professionalism.. Would definitely hire them again. "March and Martin did an amazing job of applying a closed cell spray foam insulation to the underside of an existing roof in a finished home.  The house is a mid-century modern design with no attic, so the affected ceiling was directly in the living area.  The ceiling had moisture and mold issues and was removed by others, exposing the 8" joists and underside of roof.  March and Martin came in and carefully taped poly sheeting throughout the entire top floor of the house--walls and floors--such that there was no over-spray on any surface when they were done.  They completed the project in a week, while the family had vacated the premises.  The 2-3 workers per day were punctual, worked carefully, and left the house spotless when complete (the shavings from the ceiling over-spray make a mess).  The scheduler in the office communicated with the homeowner prior to the project to make sure the project proceeded as planned and promptly returned calls.  March and Martin was also much more competitively priced than another firm I had also quote the job.  I would highly recommend March and Martin for any insulation project. <br />"

"Very professional, came to the house with samples and helped us make the right choice for our concerns of window replacement which were a mix of cost, looks, sound reduction and energy savings.( We went with the slightly higher cost composite windows because it looked better with the style of the house and provided better sound reduction and slightly better heat retention.) Helped us through the MassSave loan process. Whenever I had a question I was able to get a hold of him quickly and he'd happily answer it. Three weeks after ordering windows (Usually it's about two weeks but the window manufacturers had a delay in making the windows. ) they were put in over two days, working with us to make sure they were in before the house painters came in. (They do not paint, so be prepared to either do touch ups yourself or schedule it so your handyman/painters can be there shortly after which is what we did since we needed the whole house painted.) On time, professional, neatened up after. The windows look great, I get almost no noise from the busy road, and they noticeably trap more heat which should pay real dividends in winter. It's a small family owned local business as is the company they get the windows from. I highly recommend them. I ever needed windows again I'd go to them in a heart beat."

"Bruno and his team did an amazing job and I highly recommend them. We had three layers of siding removed and replaced with HardiPlank and we also had two storm doors and several replacement windows installed. Bruno is a skilled professional, he pays attention to the details and, he's a really nice person. He gave us a very reasonable quote and took care of the permitting and the dumpster -he made the whole process smooth and easy for us. We have a 2.5 story 120 yr old home in Somerville which, like many Somerville homes, is kind of leaning and crooked. It was a difficult siding job and we're so impressed and with the results. Finding someone to re-side your house can feel over-whelming. We feel so lucky that we found Cechinel Siding & Windows to help us get through this process."

"My house used to feel “chilling” cold even when the heat was set at 72. Now at 66, it feels warm. This was the best investment I’ve ever made. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Chris on this very important investment. My windows were 25-year-old vinyl double-pane and double-hung. They were absolutely horrible and I had to put up thin plastic films over the windows to prevent cold draft coming in. I set out on a journey to get my 17 windows replaced. I have gotten quotes from 10 different contractors and the quote from Window Master was the best by far. I had quotes from $500-$1200 per window. Due to the # of windows I was installing, Chris quoted $330 per window installed. I did all the research on my own and know what kind of windows are good and I know I wanted something with U-factor of less than 0.3. I was intrigued by Chris’ CraigsList posting for triple-pane windows offering much better energy efficiency at a reasonable price; his windows has a U-Factor of 0.21. They are Alside Mezzo triple-pane double-hung windows. Communication with Chris was a breeze. I called on Monday and asked him to come out and give me a quote. He said he’ll on Friday to schedule a quote. He called on Friday and scheduled me on Sunday (I wasn’t available on Saturday). Chris came on a cold Sunday morning. He brought the demo window and briefly went over the window features. He was knowledgeable, fair, polite, courteous, and did not try any aggressive sales tactics. I had a few concerns about my current windows and he answered them. When I asked whether or not I should replace my only 2-year-old-window, he suggested against replacing it because it’s in good working order, despite the fact that window is inferior to his triple-pane offerings. He measured the windows and then left for his other appointments. At the end of the week (this was 2 weeks before Christmas), I reached out to Chris and informed him I would like to proceed to get the windows with his company. He sent out a contract a day later. I printed it out, signed and sent it back to him via Email. Due to the amount of windows I was replacing, Chris offered 2-tempered glass windows and 3 bottom-frosted windows free of charge. Other companies wanted $400 just for those features. About 2-3 weeks later, I reached out to Chris to get an update on the windows. He informed me it’ll take 1-2 extra weeks for the windows to be delivered from the manufacture. One week later on a Sunday, Chris texted me to let me know the windows have finally all arrived and whether I was available the next day to get them installed. I was out of town and will be back on Sunday (7 days later). He said he’ll reach out later in the week to schedule something to get the windows installed. On Friday, he reached out again and we scheduled the upcoming Monday (MLK day) for the installation. Monday morning at 8AM, his 2-man crew finally arrived with a truck full of windows. The two men did a great job removing my old windows and installing the new windows. They also insulated window pockets as needed. Once they were done, they caulked the windows trims. The windows were just the right size so their fit was snug and air tight. Chris did a great job measuring the window sizes and his crew did an excellent job installing the windows. They replaced all 17 windows in 1 day and were done by 6PM. I was so happy with their work, I tipped each person $20. My house used to feel “chilling” cold even when the heat was set at 72. Now at 66, it feels warm. This was the best investment I’ve ever made. It was the right choice to work with Chris and his company. I’ve started referring him to my friends and co-workers already."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Saugus, MA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
