"I would recommend Zen windows in a heartbeat. I only needed two windows replaced in my apartment, which most companies will not want to do because it is too small a job. I spoke with Andersen windows and they quoted me over $5000.00! They were great windows, but still... So, I looked for other options and found Zen windows. I liked their approach and philosophy. There was absolutely no pressure. The price they quoted me was what I paid: $2300.00. That included new windowsills. The windows I chose were not the same quality as the Andersen windows, but they are still great for what I need. I was not there for the installation, but my husband really liked the installer. "Unfortunately, everything about the sub-contractor was less than satisfactory in almost every way possible so I emailed Bill through Angie's List stating that I had concerns and he replied back that I was to contact him directly and he provided his phone number.  I could not have asked for a more professional and kind response to my plea for help!!! While detailing the concerns on the phone, Bill listened patiently (not always an easy thing for a man to do when a woman is frustrated and maybe not as articulate as she could be) and kindly offered to come to my house with the sub-contractor at the next appointment. I was immensely relieved and from that moment my anxiety diminished and I felt confident that the replacement of my windows would be a quality job that I would be pleased with. True to his word, Bill stopped by not once but twice until the job was completed and made sure that everything was handled properly. There were a couple of other windows that I had debated on replacing. Bill inspected them and determined that the cloudiness just needed to be Windexed away. I appreciated his honesty and then he proceeded to apply Windex and paper towels to the two windows and voila, I had clean, clear windows. Even more than this, he saw that I had a broken handle on my patio door and he replaced that for me as well as doing some adjustments to the patio door screen. Oh, and then, as he was leaving through my front door, I mentioned that I needed to get some weatherstripping installed before winter and he proceeded to look the door and casing over really well and gave me some advice on how to make the repairs. Truly, what had been an enormously frustrating situation was turned into a pleasant situation with a 100% satisfactory ending!!! I will not hesitate for one moment to recommend Bill Myrick and Summer Windows to friends and neighbors! "As always, Allison and her team were great! Showed up on time ands did a great job. Friendly and professional. She even reattached a piece of loose roof flashing! Will continue to use this company at least as long as Allison is employed. Scheduling is a little difficult with business owner - it can be a day or so of voice mail tag until scheduling can be arranged. I believe he used to have an office scheduler who was very pleasant but may have retired. Still he's very friendly - just may be a little swamped."

"The door is a $3,800 Andersen French Patio door. We were unable to open and close the door easily and could not lock it. At his first visit Wayne, within an hour, reset the hinges so we could open and close the door and lock it. Wayne also pointed out that the door was not hung properly and had to be repositioned further into the opening and flush with the drywall. He made an appointment to come back with a helper and he rehung the door. This included removing trim both inside and outside and reinstalling the door. He and his helper were very careful to not damage the trim. Wayne replaced and repainted the outside trim. He very carefully touched up the interior stained trim where a small amount of wood was exposed because of the repositioning of the door. The price was reasonable. The workmanship was outstanding. He always called to inform us when he would be arriving. We plane to have him do more work on our house."
