"Mr. Dolloff was prompt in his response to our inquiry into landscaping projects we were considering. He gave us a free estimate on several projects. The cost seemed very fair and we had him complete a quarter of the entire project ~ grooming a hillside with severe erosion and creating a parking area for 2 cars. The hillside is beautiful. Exactly what we wanted and better than we expected. The parking area was not what I would call satisfactory. But in all honesty, they completed both jobs on time but unfortunately it was just the day before we got all that heavy rain the weekend of October 21st. We are planning for him to complete the other landscaping we need down and he offered to clean up the parking area as soon as the weather settles down."

The contractor was JY Paving- [*** Link removed ***] I was looking for a vendor and had a couple of suggestions from people I trusted. Only one of those entities bothered to come to my house and give me a quote. Then they told me they couldn't do it until next year. So I called a couple of others after doing an internet search and Jim Young was the only one who responded to me. He came to my house where we defined the scope and he gave me a quote. I later expanded the scope and he immediately followed up with the additional, reasonable costs. I thought his quote was more than fair, so I elected to take a chance and trust him. He showed up at my house as promised with all the equipment, paving materials, gravel and personnel required to cover my scope of work. Jim was out there operating the paver and roller and when he wasn't on one of those, he had a shovel or a rake in his hand and was trimming up the sides. Whenever I asked for a tweak here and there, he immediately tended to the issue with a smile on his face, no questions asked. At the end of the day, I had what I felt like was a beautiful primary driveway and secondary driveway. I was very happy to hand him a check reflecting the full amount of the work he and his crew had performed. When you have the owner of a company in the field operating equipment and manning shovels and rakes, you not only get a good product but you get excellent value because he's not paying a foreman to run his operation. I couldn't recommend JY Paving any more highly. He was very pleasant to deal with and offered me a great value."
