"It went great, this is a unique service, for DIY-ers. My electric dryer wouldn’t heat, so I went on line and diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. I also watched several how to videos, but none of them matched my dryer. Finally went on Angie’s list and it matched me up with Tin Lizzee which is a chat service to help you through your repair. The technician I talked with was polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I did get stuck during the repair and they called me on my cell and talked me through what I needed to do. I know I saved a lot of money by not having an appliance repair person come to my house with the mark up on parts and labor rates per hour I believe I saved at least half of the cost, if not more from ordering on line and chatting and talking to the Tin Lizzee technician, it was $30 well spent."

"Great service, I called and they were onsite same day to repair our GE fridge. The man who came knew his stuff (he was a 'fridge whisperer'!), was well presented, courteous and was in and out of our house in under an hour with the fridge repaired on the spot! Couldn't ask for better. :) My only complaint is that I was charged over $400 to replace a $90 part (I checked the manufacturer's website). Over $300 for less than an hour of labor - that seems a little over the top!"

He suggested for us to buy a new one due to age of washer and his experience that other parts might start going and needing repair soon. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

He diagnosed the issue perfectly, fixed it, and even helped me rearrange my laundry room to ensure the washing machine wouldn't have any further malfunctions. ". the work was being done was  at best puzzling and cast a shadow over the entire experience. What makes this review diffulcut is that I want to give higher marks for the work that was done since we have not had any problems to date but the fact that even after they called to set up one last visit to tie up some remainig concerns they never showed up and this makes it diffulcult to have positive feelings. Questions about the supposedly HOME SURGE PROTECTION system and WARRANTY and how to handle any future issues regarding it have never been explained or paperwork supplied. When it is so hard to reach the boss it creates  an environment of distrust be it real or imagined.
