"The team did a fantastic job building a new full bathroom on the third floor of my townhouse condo. There was no water up on that level, so it required tapping into water and sewage pipes down below, and running two new electrical circuits from the first floor. The logistics weren't easy, but they found the simplest and least disruptive method possible! Quality across the board was excellent, including the main contractor (framing, tile, cabinets) and the various subs (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting). Project management of the full team went smoothly - and the project manager (Bruce) took care of contracting with and coordinating access for all the subs. Bruce did an admirable job of letting me know what would be happening each day and who would be showing up when. The project was finished on time as projected. The team did a good job of protecting floors and carpets on the long path up to the third floor, as well as covering affected furniture areas during drywall cutting and repair. Overall, while not inexpensive, I can appreciate the complexity of the job and feel the quality and craftsmanship as well as the execution was worth consistent with the price. I would hire the firm again for other major projects (or minor if they would do them!), they are professional, reliable, and high quality."

"They got in touch with the insurance company and told them this one that I had was too old and rusty and I needed a new one. The insurance company gave them no flack. They went and bought it and put it in. The installation went really well for me. The insurance company sends the plumbers, but if I had to pay myself I still would use them."

"It was a rainy Monday, but the company arrived at our home at 8am and waited out the weather.  They walked around the house with my husband and me to note any landscaping that was particularly fragile. (roses, hostas, mums and lilies).  The supplies had already been delivered so the crew got to work.   I didn't know what to expect with noise and mess and although there was plenty of both, the crew was very professional and efficient in their  efforts.    It took about 10 hours from start to finish and with only one rotten board to be replaced.   This was the first roof replacement I have experienced and this company did it right!  The owner was on sight numerous times to ensure everything was going well.  He answered my countless questions and explained what would happen from beginning to end.   I was quite concerned that the crew would never be able to pick up the zillions of roofing pieces, nails, shingles, etc.  However, there was not a scrap of material or nail in sight after they were finished.  They even cleaned out the gutters and the garage!  I would highly recommend Seamless Restoration for a new roof or repair.  They are professional, courteous, efficient and neat.  Extra stars to the employees for stopping to meet our dog who had to inspect everything, snoop in their lunchboxes and insist on being petted. <br />"

"We were extremely satisfied with the work of Mr. Deskins. We would call him again if we need house repairs. We do like using local companies to support the local economy and would be sure to clarify this in the future. The roof work team came from Kentucky. ( A person who came with Mr. Deskins on a second visit (name Mark or Bob?) stated that the team would come from south side Indianapolis.) I suspect that the load of work due to hail storms caused a crunch on the availability of work teams. <br /> <br /> The roofing work team did use a machine that seemed to be a magnet yet we found nails in and around the driveway during the next two weeks. It could be that the nails came from the roof and gutters with rainfall. <br /> <br /> The gutter company did a very satisfactory job in replacement. We would have appreciated a quicker turnaround and improved communication by this company. They arrived one day to do work and had a problem with electrical equipment on their truck. They returned week later. We had to initiate calls to reschedule. <br /> <br /> Again, we were very pleased with Universal and Mr. Mike Deskins. The Universal office was prompt in communications as well as Mr. Deskins. We would use Universal again. <br />"

"If  you want to hire an experienced contractor that understands time allowance, costs, and the right way to do things, hire Jack.  He finished my kitchen renovation that another contractor left unfinished a year ago.  I called Jack to paint, trim down, and install my closet door, properly finish my engineered flooring, including 5 thresholds the original contractor left undone, build and paint all my trim work, including custom made base, window, and door trim to match the rest of my house.   Jack finished painting what was left unpainted, filled in nail holes, sanded and painted throughout my kitchen.  He installed 2 built-in shelves,  3 door locks, hung 2 heavy mirrors and a coat rack for me.  He even stacked 3 cabinets on my back kitchen wall for me to give me more storage.  My kitchen is finally completed to my satisfaction, thanks to Jack.   I am very happy. <br />      Jack is a likable guy.  If you are honest with him, he will be honest with you.  He is a professional at what he does and it shows.  My job took a couple of days longer than estimated, but Jack stayed true to his original cost. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Brazil, IN

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
