"If you're looking for a contractor that stands behind the quality of their work you might want to rethink hiring Dreamscapes Home Improvements. Dreamscapes charged me $800 for a new chimney flashing when they installed my new roof in August of 2015. In October of 2018, the first time I had been in my attic since the installation of my new roof, I noticed that the roof had been leaking for some time on the north side of my chimney as the plywood was heavily stained in the area of the leak. I believe a new roof should remain leak free for longer than 3 years so I called Joel at Dreamscapes. He came out and made a cursory inspection of the chimney, but didn't find an obvious cause of leak. He said he would come back the following Friday with his son to do a more extensive search for the cause of the leak and make a correction to a section of the flashing was that was sagging in the center. Like I said that was in October of 2018, this is August of 2019. I haven't heard from anyone at Dreamscapes since that day and they haven't responded to any of my communications. I believe that I have since found the cause of the leak myself. Things seem to be staying dry at least for now. The problem I found I was where the mason that had previously rebuilt my chimney left a dime sized void that should have been filled with mortar allowing rain to get behind the bricks. I would have been willing to pay Dreamscapes for finding and making that repair since it had nothing to do with the work they had done, but they completely blew me off. The point I'm trying to make is; if you're looking for a contractor who will stand behind his work and make a warrantee repair for you when things go wrong, this isn't the guy you want."

"I called around noon asking for a Guesstimate price, along with a potential time frame of when could it be done. I had a broken torsion spring on one side only; Door would not open, one car in, one car out. Was provided an estimate (not firm, but thought to be close) along with a 'possibly this afternoon' otherwise tomorrow for sure. Service guy arrived just after 3:00 PM on the same day I had called. I'd say work took less than 30 minutes; Tested door opening and closing; paid the bill within $10 of the estimated price. I had both springs replaced, as labor is the same either way - and if one is broken, the other won't be far behind. Two springs, labor, service call - All under $200 for same day service!"

"We had three Polaris UltraWeld double-hung replacement windows installed. The salesman was up front and pleasant - no high pressure sales tactics whatsoever. Because of the quality of the windows and the installer, Quality Window and Door, we will eventually have all 20 replaced with Polaris and use the same installer. The price was significantly lower than comparable windows and the installation appears to be top notch. I will need to do very little touch-up painting, and the installer cleaned up after himself thoroughly. On the day the windows were suppose to be installed initially, it looked like it was going to rain. The installer called a few days ahead of time to let us know that he might have to delay the installation because of the weather. It did rain that day so he called early and we rescheduled for later in the week. It was done promptly on that later day. The only minor negative was that it took about seven weeks from the time we signed the contract to the date of the installation. They said it would be six weeks. Not really an issue for us, because time was never a critical factor. <br /> The UltraWeld windows look sharp and are so easy to use and clean. You can barely discern that they are replacement windows. It's too early to discuss how they will hold up over time or how much we will save on energy bills. But as tight as they fit, I expect good things over this cold northern Indiana winter. <br /> <br />"
