"Had SD Express (Honeycomb Construction) paint our garage and WOW - it made a huge difference. Overall very happy with the outcome and service provided by Eugeniu and his brother and would hire again (have already recommended him to family members). I sent Eugeniu an email and he replied promptly and came by for an in person visit to provide an estimate (I was only interested in prime / paint at first) but Eugeniu recommended that we mud / sand the walls first to give the garage a smoother finish. The estimate process was easy and when we agreed upon a date / time for service, Eugeniu was professional and arrived on time each day. Eugeniu and his brother covered the paint site with appropriate protective cover so the paint would not stain the floor or a few of our personal items that we left in the garage. They applied mud the first day, sand and prime the second day and painted the ceiling and walls the 3rd day (white ceiling and grey walls). The paint job made a huge difference - what was previously unfinished we now look forward to organizing and making it a useable space"

The only thing I did not care for was he charges by the hour and he was using my hand tools the entire time which gave me the impression that he was slowing things down or trying to take his time. That was something I did not particularly care for because I never went back and used him. He was fine except he took time. Timing is what broke his price. He did fine work. I felt like he was not trying to do things in a more integrity-driven way. I would tell a friend or family that he seems to charge a fair price, but then, he takes time and that is how he builds up his rate."

We had few estimates for the remodeling, but the one who stood out as the best for us was with a representative from Pure Home Remodeling. Our project manager gave us a fair estimate for the big remodeling job. Right after we got the approval from the building inspectors, the demolition stage started few days after. The communication with our project manager during the whole remodeling project was outstanding. The working crew arrived to the house each morning and all the materials for the work arrived as needed and a new wall was built 3’ near the garage. "Phoenix Fine Homes did a fantastic job in replacing my old carport with roof deck with a new two car garage and covered deck. Ken and Nancy were a pleasure to work with. They took my input seriously and were very responsive. They were able to work within tight constraints and deliver; I wanted to keep the deck walkout but the carport's prior height would not have allowed for a conventional height door and headroom I wanted. Their proposal with a driveway regrade to allow lowering the garage floor was the most serious about meeting the requirements and most competent of all those I received. Finally, it was their suggestion to go with the covered living space on the deck. It really improved the usability of it and was such an insightful idea. Everyone who has seen the results has commented on how fantastic the project turned out and how nice it is to be able to use the deck year-round.
