"We worked with Greg Luebbe at Total Home Roofing. He inspected our roof and pointed out a few issues with our gutter system and some flashing we were not aware of. He walked us through the process from the building materials all the way to picking a few colors that would look good on our house. We were very impressed with the quality, price, warranty, and professionalism from Total Home Roofing. We can't wait to get our new roof!"

"We had a worn out and falling apart fence. With two dogs and being next to the community mailboxes we knew it was time for a new fence. We contacted a few fencing companies and checked the home stores. We contacted All Area Fence because a coworker recommended them. They came promptly to the house for a free estimate at a time convenient for us. Their estimate was the lowest and we liked that it was a family run business. When they arrived to begin work they let us know they under estimated the actual cost, but told us not to worry they stand by their estimates. They managed to tear down our old fence and build out our new fence in two days. This happened two days before a Hurricane Matthew came through. We are happy to report the fence made it through the storm with no damage."

"As Steve complained about the time and effort required to get a building permit for the gable, I filled out the paper work. It took more than a month to get the permit as the inspector requested specific info on materials to be used and how they were to be applied. The first submission was incomplete so the bldg dept had to ask again for the required materials. Once started, the job went extremely quickly. All of the siding was removed in less than 4 hrs and plywood installed. However, after removing the walls, the job foreman told me I needed to talk to Steve because the job would now cost more as they hadn't originally planned on replacing all of the plywood and then covering it with Hardie board. Steve announced he would charge me $175 per sheet of plywood additional and said Jose the foreman estimated 6-7 sheets would be necessary. I suggested that $175 per sheet was a bit steep even including labor and materials but had little choice but to agree as the attic was now open to the weather. |Rather than cut out the damaged plywood sheets, they ripped them completely off. They said they were concerned that the bldg inspector would fault them for not replacing all of the materials even though the permit stated remove and replaced rotted boards with plywood and Hardie board. They failed one inspection because there were bent over nails which triggered a $50 penalty. The day the gable was complete, I received a call from the office manager asking to pick up a check for $4600. I was expecting a balance of $2600 plus maybe $1000 for the additional plywood. I said I was not paying anything until there was a final inspection and that stucco they had damaged was repaired as well as the fact that it looked like they had used clear primer or no primer at all. Steve sent Jose out and he repaired the stucco and applied white primer. Primer and/or stucco was spilled in my back yard about 4ft from the house. I didn't notice it until I stepped in it and ruined a new pair of shoes. | I requested an itemized invoice showing labor and materials before I agreed to pay the balance. The office manager simply sent a copy of the original contract. When I asked for more detail I received a nasty voicemail from Steve. I paid the balance which included the $50 penalty for failing the inspection and $100 for Steve's time getting the building permit. I would beware of his "deals" as you can be sure the only one getting a "deal" is Steve. I notice he has taken his "40 hours for $1,499" off the site. That was a real joke since he does not bill by time but only by time and materials and won't disclose how much time is spent."
