"I had two wall sections with damage that needed to be repaired with new drywall and paint. Vitaly from Apex Design Build did a beautiful job on the walls -- I'm very impressed. I hope not to need that skill again any time soon, but I will certainly contact them the next time I need another wall repaired -- it's virtually impossible to tell there had been damage. He also adjusted a ceiling fan that had been installed by a friend (a mistake -- use a professional!) and it took him only 15 minutes. I have always been very impressed by how Apex Design Build cleans up everything when they are done working -- and they even took it away with them. Excellent work and in a timely manner for me."

It went well. Tom was very responsive to our needs and pretty good about keeping us informed on what was scheduled to be done next. We have a brick exterior and I was a little nervous about the old brick not mixing nicely with the new construction. However, the crew was able to salvage much of the brick during the initial wall takedown and so the addition actually blended rather nicely. You can't really tell it is an addition.

I have no negative comments or complaints. I would likely consider doing business with this company again. Tom had the most expensive price "quote" but we actually ended up being under budget for the project.

"The work was satisfactory. They gave an estimate for reattaching and caulking the siding as neccessary. He quoted me $290-350 for what ended up being 15-20 minutes of work.

I thought the estimate was high but since I thought he had the credentials to do the job, I gave it to him. I've never had work like this done so I was not sure what the cost would be. But I feel it was expensive for the work they did.

They sent out two men-- maybe sub contractors. They ended up not needing to do the caulking and reattached the siding with nails. They were reasonably competent but expensive. They were prompt and quick."

"Mike at Earthwood Arts came out and gave me a quote.  He explained that they only use cedar because it won't warp.  The Earthwood Arts website didn't have a similar picture to what I wanted so Mike emailed me pictures.  They built a very strong beautiful cedar pergola.  They came when they were scheduled and it took two days, just like they said..  Mike came and quality checked the pergola.  Earthwood Arts was very professional and build a very quality product.  I was very satisfied with the product and the service level."

My original 4x4 wooden posts that were supporting the swing gate doors were not substantial enough to support the weight of the doors, and so the gate was leaning over and was unusable.

I hired Moore Construction Services to:

• Remove 3 of the 4x4 wooden posts (that were set in concrete).
• Backfill 1 of the post holes with dirt (it would not be used for the new posts).
• Dig the other 2 post holes an additional 10 to 12 inches deeper.
• Set 2 new treated 6x6 wooden posts in concrete into the post holes.
• Re-hang the swing gate doors.

Moore Construction subcontracted the job out to a fence company.  The finished job was acceptable, although there were a couple of hinge installation errors that I fixed myself.  For example, one hinge was installed upside down, was missing a lag bolt, and wasn't making proper contact with the supporting fence board.  Another hinge on the other door was not making proper contact with the supporting fence board.  I felt that without proper support, the hinges would fail with use over time.  

To my knowledge, the General Manager from Moore Construction never stopped by for a follow-up inspection of the work.  If he had then surely he would've noticed the hinge installation errors.  I did, however, receive a follow-up phone call where I had the opportunity to complain about the hinges ? but it seemed hardly worth mentioning, even though it bothered me.

We?ve used Moore Construction Services in the past and were extremely pleased with their work ? that is why we used them for this job.  So, perhaps because the work was sub-contracted, this was just a ?one-off? experience where the quality of work didn?t quite measure up to their past performance.

Finally, the one thing that was a constant annoyance was that the General Manager, who came out to give the repair estimate, he could never seem to get my email address correct for correspondence with me.  After not yet having received a quote from him for the work request, I called their office and spoke with Amanda (who was very attentive).  She forwarded to me the GM's original email to me with the quote.  I saw then that he left part of my email address out and that's why I never received the quote.  When I replied back to Amanda to accept the quote and authorize the work to be done, I copied in the General Manager to advise him of his error with my email address and asked him to correct it in his address book.  It just annoyed me because when you intend to use email as the communication platform, then it's imperative to ensure you have your customer's email address correct.

"They demo'd the old steps which required removing more base material than anticipated.
They hauled everything away and poured the new steps.
Mr. Eisele took my wife to shop for the parts for the railing.  He then constructed and installed the railing.
He and his crew were efficient and friendly.
All of the work was done well and in a timely manner.
I would like to add that we wanted them to do the work because they had done two other jobs for the us and everything was excellent.
We will use them for all future work.
