They came right away, sucked all the water out and then brought in all these machines, the humidifiers and blowers. They ran for about 4 days and the apartment was like being in Arizona. It was hot and dry. We moved upstairs, we couldn't stay down there because it was 90 degrees and no humidity. But, we haven't had any problems with mold so it worked. They didn't have to do any construction, whereas, my girlfriend's sister had a flood in her apartment and she didn't do this, so they had to replace half the sheet-rock, when they could have just soaked it up like a sponge. It was covered by insurance and they gave us all the paperwork."

"Very good. Here are the details: called a number of companies that do sump pump work. Only these guys and another vinyl sheeting company came to the site. I chose these guys because their upsell wasn't as strong and I appreciated that. Our crawl space has a lot of ducting and not much space to crawl. They removed dirt, installed the plastic barrier and then the vinyl (?) sheeting. Epoxied it to the house. Finished as expected. Once they left, I went under the house and was very happy with the install  - the points of attachment and fastening were strong and numerous. I was able to get around easily. The best part is the house now is smell free. I started by wanting a sump pump and ended with something altogether different, but I think my initial idea was bringing a garden hose to a forest fire.
