He also pointed out that the system is not up to code and some extra work would be required. I asked if he would be able to do the new install and asked if he could do it sooner than later, as cold showers for days (even one more) would not be fun. He ended up coming back out same day - about 6pm - with all parts and the new unit. He stayed until 11pm! to get the job done. Kap is fantastic. "Jimmy Gusky HVAC is truly as good as it gets. One of our AC units went down and through the warranty company found our way to Jimmy Gusky himself. Although out of their territory, Jimmy was willing to make the extra trip to diagnose the problem. He was very responsive to get our initial service call scheduled and determined the unit needed to be replaced, and we all know these units usually decide to break down only when pushed to the limit in the hottest summer months and we need AC the most. He did the legwork to get the warranty company to honor the recommendation and as you can see from the attached photo put in a much more substantial unit that is doing a fabulous job cooling the home. Add to that he actually had the unit and scheduled the install even before the warranty company approved the swap out. I that isn't one of the greatest examples of outstanding customer service and going above and beyond to exceed expectations, I don't know what is. "Mr. Rema arrived on time Sunday morning to update my water heater. He installed an expansion tank, duct work and replacing the piping to the thermostat on the water heater. He did an excellent job and took his time. Mr. Rema also went to the local hardware store twice to pick up the material that was needed. The only reason I didn't give him an A was because he quoted me a price at the beginning and then went done on the price and then tried to go back up to the original quoted price. After talking with him he decided to keep the price at the lower amount that he quoted."

"Our water heater stopped working suddenly on Easter Sunday in the morning. My husband called Roto-Rooter. A repairman came to our house about an hour later. He said that he needed to get another man to help him. The two repairmen returned to our house about 2 hours later. They drained the water from our old water heater into the sump pump, removed the old water heater, and they installed a new water heater. It took about 3 3/4hours. They said that the labor charge would be $285 an hour. We had a hot water heater installed 15 years ago by another company. It took them 2 1/2 hours and they charged $112.50 an hour. I thought that Roto-Rooter's labor charge was a little high so I called three companies several days after Roto-Rooter installed our new water heater. One company said that they charge $228 an hour for weekend and holiday service and it takes them about 2-3 hours to install a water heater. Another compamy said that the minimum charge would be $1500-$1800 to install a new water heater. The third company said that they would charge $1,260 to install a water heater.
