"We had a cold, windy night and our pipes froze up. One burst, and when I called several local plumbers, everyone was busy. TP Howard has manpower advantage. From looking at their site, it appears they have 30+ plumbers on hand. I called and explained our situation and the lady who answered the phone kindly explained she could not guarantee anyone would be out that day, which was a bummer since we had to shut the water off to prevent further damage. Within two hours, the plumbers were at our house. Within fifteen minutes of their arrival, the broken pipe was repaired and our water was back on. They were quick, professional, and courteous. I would definitely hire them again."

"Great! This company provides great service by going above and beyond to complete your repairs. They were punctual, and if they thought they may be running behind they would call beforehand. I would highly recommend them."

"Very prompt inspection and competitive quote. They matched another company's slightly lower price. Installation work started on time and quickly completed. Some problems occurred with the post work city inspection . Poor communication between the company inspectors, the workmen and the city inspectors led to 8 or more visits and follow up work to the residence by these parties, until the inspection was given. This is a good company with skilled and professional employees. Their office staff is great. They just need better communication and coordination between the techs and with city/county inspectors"

"Darryl and the rest of the gang at Air Excellence (Shane, Rob, Brian, Chris and Brandon) were an amazing crew. They reviewed options with me, provided a VERY competitive estimate, took the time to happily answer my many questions, were timely and tidy with the installation and even helped me to complete and submit the rebate forms. The installation was completed in one day and they cleaned up after themselves and removed the packing materials. My experience over the years has been that they are an ethical, responsive and friendly crew. I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend them. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Brevard, NC

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
