"After dealing with one other windows company delivering an aggressive sales push apparently characteristic for this industry, it was a pleasure to interact with Matt Rotondi, the owner. He provided all the information necessary, in addition the helpful online information, before making the sale, and there was no pressure for the more expensive models. He continued to be highly responsive and courteous even after we signed on the dotted line. The installation of 26 windows was done by a contracted team on the days it was scheduled to be done, and everything went well. The windows look very nice and provide the improved insulation we were hoping for. Obviously only time will tell how they hold up in the future, but I have full confidence that Matt will honor the warranty that should cover any potential issues. After the installation, one of the windows was hard to open and another one had a very small dent, probably from the delivery, but he fixed both issues without discussion. I recommend Zen Windows without any hesitation."

"This is a follow-up to my original review of February 9, 2017. A new sash was ordered to replace the one in which the glass cracked just after insertion of a window grille pin into the bottom of the sash. Four weeks later, on 3/9/17 a technician arrived and installed a new sash. All went well until he inserted a grille pin into the bottom of the sash -- the glass cracked, again. What are the chances that this could happen twice and with different technicians? Apologies were made and another sash was ordered. Five weeks later, on 4/17/17 the Andersen tech arrived with a new sash, installed it, and fingers crossed, the grill pin was successfully inserted. Yeah! My final assessment is that this small project to replace a bow window with three double-hung windows took far longer from start to finish (Nov. 2016 - Apr. 2017) than was reasonable, even without the grille pin mishaps. I do however, credit Andersen with persistence in bringing this project to satisfactory completion. Service can be a bit of a lengthy process, but they do follow through. I will say again, these replacement windows are beautifully made and energy-efficient. The technicians are professional, courteous and highly skilled."

"It went beautifully; Pamela clearly knows how to design a room and make it flow cohesively right into the next room. This was our 4th home, but our first with an open concept. She helped us obtain new window treatments, get favorite pieces re-upholstered, order new furniture, and have all the fabric intertwine together to make a beautiful effect in the 3 rooms we decorated. Many times Pam would arrive laden down with swatches from the Design Center, and we pored over all the choices, as she guided us in selecting materials. Pamela also told us when she thought something was fine as it is, and to leave it be. She was very helpful, as she led us in this process, e.g. when she thought some things, that I assumed I needed, were unnecessary. Pam has a great eye and pointed out areas in which we needed to soften our angles by using round shapes. She was able to work with some unique decorating preferences of mine, and use the color palette I had planned, so we could achieve a welcoming, light and airy look. The professionals Pam brought into the project, from the trade, were excellent. My reupholstered pieces are stunning, the window pelmets are fabulous, and the new furniture is gorgeous and comfy. We were grateful that Pamela was available to work with us and would do so again in a heartbeat!"

"Roger came to the house, checked the roof, fixed a bunch of small issues while he was up there and told me that it did not need repair or replacement at the moment. He refused payment for the things he patched up and merely suggested that we call a company that will remove the moss from the shingles. He was polite, thorough, attentive and honest. I was very impressed with him. Would recommend to anyone. He is great."

"I hired Laurie to replace a large window for one of my apartment units. While determining what the job would entail, she also noticed wood rot. She and her crew managed to remove, repair, replaced wood with azek as well as reattach the existing vinyl siding with impeccable detail. I have used Laurie on several projects and the outcome is always better than expected. To hire a contractor and trust that they run the project efficiently with your associated costs in mind and total project priced right, is far and few between. This project was completed in one day (approximately 11 hours), and was done the "right way"."

"A & L recently installed a Mitsubishi a split type ductless air conditioner in my home in West Dennis, MA. Every aspect of the job was timely and professional. From a determination of my needs, to the installation and finally the rebate process everything went just right. Mark, the installer, explained to me in detail everything the system could do and all operations. A & L beat all other estimates. Contact Luke or Alec for all your AC and heating needs."

"Scott, Mary and their crew were fantastic! They came in early one morning and worked hard through the day and were gone before the 2nd day was over. They took care to leave as little mess or nails as possible around the place. The price was fair and the work was very professional. I highly recommend them! Chase"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Brewster, MA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
