"Steve Satir was a really nice and I really like him. I had problem with two toilets and I called a plumber who fixed it, one toilet was fine but in the second toilet the water level kept overflowing so he had to come back and readjusted it. He didn't charge me for readjusting it but a few hours after he left it started overflowing again and I didn't call back that plumber but a different plumber He came out and replaced the flapper which the first plumber never did and it's fine now. The name of plumber is Steve Satir. My neighbour has also used him for years. He is very professional and very good. The price was $78 which included the service charge and the cost of the valve. He also came in a day early that was even better, he called and said he was in the area and asked if he could come in and do it and I said that would be fabulous."

"Approximately 20-years ago we purchased glass doors for our wood burning FP from Dreifuss and were pleased with the service. We had been contemplating converting to gas fire log insert and after doing some research we decided to get a quote from Dreifuss. The sales people were very knowledgeable discussing pros/cons of vented vs. ventless system and their quote was in line with our expectations so we completed the sale. Installation was scheduled at their busiest time of the year and they clearly advised on 3 - 4-weeks lead time; installation was completed within 3-weeks"

"Plumber came as promised and was able to fix the problem that afternoon. We needed a new expeller and he gave us the price for both models that would fit our system. He was courteous and work area was left cleaner then what it was when he found it. He also pointed out an electrical issue that he was unable to fix, but that we would want to have our electrician take care of sooner rather than later."

"A/C install went fine. Furnace install was awful-- failed inspection several times, did not communicate clearly what I needed to do to get gas service at the house, and blamed me when I reached out to the salesperson for help. Ended up paying WAY more for the gas install than I was told it would be ($1200 vs. at most, several hundred). To be clear, gas lines were installed by Elkton Gas NOT Moon Air, but how do they not know how much it costs if this is their business? Completely unwilling to help when I contacted them, just told me that they had already gone "above and beyond" the terms of our contract and could not help. I am pleased with the units they installed but beyond frustrated with the level of communication and professionalism. Electrical side of this company is excellent, HVAC is less than professional."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Bridgeton, NJ

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
