"This project was unique in that we had buckling in a particular section of our hardwood flooring. In addition, some moisture was identified under an adjacent section. We replaced the buckling section with ceramic tile “rug” and repaired the adjacent section We were extremely satisfied with Zavala flooring throughout the entire process. "I had laminate in the entry way and in the kitchen of my house.  The entire 1st floor has hardwood.  They came and they replaced the laminate with hardwood and weaved in new pieces seamlessly.  They also sanded and stained it.  We came periodically to check on the progress each evening and they cleaned up after themselves every night.  Javier, the owner,  called me to keep me abreast of each part of the job.  When they finished, everything was cleaned up and it was all perfect and turned out exactly how we wanted it to.  One of the things that I really thought was exceptional was that we had a broken door in the master closet that was broken.  When they replaced the door after doing the floors, they fixed the door, which was above and beyond the scope of work and just a really great display of customer service."

"The owner personally came to our home and walked through the area to measure and show us the examples. Once we picked the flooring he quickly provided an estimate. The work team let us know exactly when they would begin work and arrived right on time. The flooring and carpet removal as well as laying the new hardwood was completed in one day. The sanding and refinishing took two days for the final coat of finish and sanding. They did a good job of keeping the dust contained and cleaning up after the job. The crew was polite and courteous and eager to make right any errors or adjustments we requested. We will be going back for any future flooring needs."

"The floors look great, no problem there. Sanding dust was well-contained and cleaned up. However the scheduling (and communication about it) was a problem. The work was finally begun after three delays, totaling nine days, after initially-promised start date. With two of those delays, Larry did not initiate contact; I called him to check when he would arrive. He said delays were caused by family issues and no-show workers. His floor work is great, but time management and communication need to be better."
