"VERY PROFESSIONAL- John has been our go to plumbing guy for years now. He has replaced kitchen faucets, moved the toilet in our half bath, replaced outdoor water spigots, replaced tankless water system and more. He and his team are dependable, honest and quick to respond!! John explains / shows what the issue was and what to do to prevent from happening again. I would recommend this company over and over again."

""A relatively new water heater was losing excessive amounts of water from the overflow valve. Called Matt at NHP after Angi's list recommended their company. He listened, asked questions, and gave me a suggestion on how the problem could be fixed - it worked, and saved me a service call. The company that did the installation could have told me the same thing, but they said that service technicians weren't available to talk to the customers. Matt has earned my respect (he reminds me of how my father used to treat HIS customers when he had his store). He took his time explaining everything, without any hard sales pitch, just good sound advice AND told me what it would cost if he did come to the house.. FAR cheaper than other quotes I received. If you need work done, then give them a call FIRST - honest people are hard to find, and I'm thankful to find someone I can trust.""

"Called and came a little early the day he was scheduled. It had been a little over a month since he was here for the quote. Wanted to look at the job again. He was redoing our gas line outdoor to the grill from the house, but we needed deck work done first. He replaced the line, and even though it was more difficult than he had thought, charged exactally what he quoted. Very reasonably priced compared to several other compaines that were charging rediculous amounts of money. Very professional and would recommend and use again."

"My sump pump failed and we were heading out of town the next day, appointments were booking for next day. Due to my situation they said they would have someone out later in the afternoon, received a call from Joe, one of their master plumbers at 10:30am saying he would arrive in 20 minutes. Joe was knowledgeable and provided all the information I needed to make an informed decision. Joe did a professional job and tested, works perfectly. Cleaned the work area and provided exceptional customer service. We are able to leave without worry."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Brockport, NY

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
