"We hired Plymouth Meeting Nursery to completely transform the exterior landscape of our 100+ year-old home, where we live with our three young children and our ever-faithful golden retriever. As a licensed landscape architect, we approached this project with high standards and were looking for a contractor who offered fair, transparent pricing, excellent craftsmanship, and timely execution. Plymouth Meeting Nursery delivered on all counts. The scope of work was extensive and included the demolition of all existing landscaping, a deck, concrete walkways, fencing, and excess soil. In its place, the team installed new fencing, a beautiful cedar pergola, repointed brickwork on our home, irrigation, a synthetic lawn alongside fresh sod and thoughtfully selected plantings, outdoor lighting, a stunning bluestone patio with brick steps and retaining wall, a brick and bluestone fireplace, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen featuring a grill, sink, ice maker, and refrigerator. The project spanned nearly five months, during which a few scope changes arose. Each one was handled professionally and flexibly by John and his team. "We had hired a company to shoot foam under our concrete because the concrete around the house was slanting toward the house, causing rain water to seep toward the house. Well, that was a disaster because all it did was make all our concrete uneven, with tripping hazards and new places for the water to seep toward our house. We contacted Andy Sholl, owner of Sholl Stonework. He and his workers did an amazing job, and we are extremely pleased. They removed a portion of our driveway. a long walkway around our house, as well as two pads of concrete which butt up against our house (for trash cans, etc.). All of those areas were replaced with new concrete, making sure that the concrete sloped away from the house to avoid standing water. They paid great attention to detail, making the concrete look esthetically more attractive going around curves or cut-ins. Andy and his workers were so hard working, so professional, and so pleasant to work with. But the best thing is - their work was outstanding. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!"
