"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"Awesome. Very professional and customer friendly quick turnaround on getting my phone back. When pricing parts and labor he took the extra time to see if it could be done cheaper by Samsung. I would recommend him to anyone . Small company heading in the right direction for big things."

"They really are not that good because the work they did started to deteriorate quickly after they did it. They came back and resolved the problem but they also did additional work; they really are not the best painters. The price was very reasonable and they also did some exterior painting for me as well. The interior painting was not as professional as I thought it could have been but they were quick to respond to my needs. They were punctual."

"The project scope was to cut out the inside ceiling, for 2 skylights that were installed in the roof, so that the skylights were exposed from inside the house. One skylight is above the stairs that run from the 1st to the 2nd floor. Opening the ceiling for this skylight was particularly troublesome. To begin the work Joe had to: examine the crawl space above the ceiling, set up scaffolding due to the distance between the ceiling and the stairs, remove plastering and insulation, cut through the remains of the original cedar roof that was between the new roof and the inside ceiling, frame and angle the 60' opening in the ceiling to maximize the natural light that would come via skylight and fall on the inside stairs and paint. Everyday Joe took down the scaffolding, cleaned up and reinstalled the scaffolding the next day, at my request so that one could go up and down the stairs without any obstruction. To expose the 2nd skylight, Joe had to get electrical wires relocated. In the end, I could not be more pleased. Joe is very easy to work with and is quite talented. Joe always remains calm even when he encounters an unforeseen problem. Joe works to figure out a solution to the problem and communicates the solution which is a huge comfort to the homeowner. I am so...pleased to know Joe is out there and hands down I will call him for other projects. My only hesitation in completing this review is that you will now contact Joe and he won't be available for me. You won't go wrong in hiring Joe. The understanding in the rating given is that work completed by Joe requires a substantial amount of oversight by the client. In addition, Joe was asked to come back to the job a few times, post completion, to ensure the cut out to the ceiling was level. Joe did come back to correct."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Bryn Mawr, PA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
