"The old windows were becoming hard to see through and hard to open. After getting bids from a couple of "hard sell" and more expensive vendors, I luckily heard of Zen Windows. It was truly a zen experience--no pressure, lots of comparative information, all on-line or over the phone until time to measure the windows. The staff was professional, did not waste our time, explained everything, cleaned up afterwards. (A note: replacing your windows is not a neat job, lots of debris will be created and the space will be open to outside air for some time. Zen minimized the inconvenience for us and it was actually pleasant to have them in our home.) They were super picky about the quality of the work: after installing and cleaning the windows, they discovered a tiny scratch on one that I would not have noticed. They ordered a replacement from the factory and came back a few weeks later to replace it. It is SO wonderful to have new vinyl windows! They are energy efficient and EASY to keep clean, since they pop half-way out to clean the outside pane without going outside. We appreciate out yard more now that we can see it clearly."

"As part of some long-overdue home maintenance, I hired Nick to replace all of the working parts (pumps, handles, valves, water lines, etc.) in 3 toilets. The cost was a bit pricier than I was anticipating, but I know that the job was done correctly and that the parts he used were very high quality. This is the 2nd time I've used Nick and he's great to work with. Responsive, punctual, and very professional. <br />"

"When we decided to replace all 19 of our windows, we had already decided to call Ringer, who had done the windows in my brother's house, and my parents' house, with rave reviews from them. Georgia came out and gave us a quote for the windows plus a sliding patio door. Fast forward 11 months (pandemic, supply chain issues, a bit of a mix-up on Ringer's end), and our windows and door have been installed. During the time we were waiting, we got 2 letters from Ringer, explaining what was going on. Ringer makes their own windows, and they were working overtime, training new teams to do a quality job, waiting for glass orders to come in, etc. Greg Ringer responded to my emails, and eventually I ended up getting calls from Jake. Toward the end we were getting impatient and crabby, but let me tell you that the end result was so great that we are very happy. I'm pleased to be able to honestly write a good review. We were able to tell immediately that cold air is no longer coming in at the window and door frames. The panes of glass don't feel as cold to the touch. The dogs are a bit sad that the hot sun is no longer beating in for them to bask in! All of the windows are finished beautifully - great job fitting/caulking/sealing. Our house had a couple of oddities which the crew were able to take care of perfectly. We had some fake windows right in the front of our house, which had screens and curtains, backed by drywall. They were able to switch gears for a little while so I could go out and buy some blinds to replace the 40-some-year-old curtains that had been sealed inside. They installed the blinds for us. We have a bay window, and they had to replace all of the framing for that. The huge blind that covered the bay window was damaged, and they actually made new brackets to get it back up and functioning. Ringer took down all of our blinds and put them back up as they were working. Throughout the process, the crew put down moving blankets inside and outside to keep everything clean. They picked up all the trash. Only one or two panes of glass got broken when they were removing old windows, and all of that was cleaned up. Everyone was friendly, and communication was very good. It took 2.5 days to get all of our work done. There were only 2 tiny details that needed fixing, and they came out the very next day and took care of everything. The windows have a lifetime warranty as long as we live in our house, and if we ever sell the house, the new owners can get a 10-year warranty at no cost. Our Ringer windows were worth the wait."

"We are so happy with our new windows! We feel not only the quality is excellent but the service from the beginning to end of installation excelled our expectations. We actually expected to have to do repair work on window sills as well as have to repaint other areas, but we were so wrong. The crew was so good (on time and worked diligently all day) that minimal repair, if any, is really needed. We would highly recommend Energy One for replacement of high quality windows and exceptional installation."

"Our old, aluminum, single-pane windows were in dire need of replacement. From the initial sit down, Kim made us know we were making the right decision, and never pressured us. She even went out of her way to work with her manager at that meeting to come up with some creative strategies around a few problematic windows. We decided to replace all at once, and get it out of the way. Our window install was scheduled for 5/18, but we were unfortunately notified not everything made it on the truck. Given that this was during a pandemic, it wasn't surprising and I appreciated the update. We rescheduled for 6/4. The morning of June 4th comes around and I promptly get a call from Dominic and his crew that they are headed my way. I wasn't at the house at the time, but he courteously noted it wasn't a problem and they had unloading to keep them busy for a bit. They got started right away and were professional and friendly for the two days they were here installing. Our two dogs were even ready to leave with them when they were done :) There were two items that didn't arrive quite right, but I appreciate that they do extra quality checks onsite to make sure the best product possible is being installed. They cleaned up well when they left, and communicated one last team would be here Monday to finish the drywall and paint work. Sure enough, Randy and Dustin called early and let me know they were on their way to wrap it up! Same great service from these guys too :) The windows. O,h the windows are AMAZING. We had one room that would be over 90 this spring by 11am, even with the AC in the house at 72. It's now the coldest room in the house, even with yesterday getting up to 98. We chose black frames and they updated the 1993 house overnight, we love them! Overall, I've been very impressed with Renewal by Anderson. I highly recommend them and their product, and performance wise, you just can't beat Dominic and his install team!!"

"We just built a new house. The model unit had shutters and we loved the look. We started taking bids before we closed on our house. It took Costco 5 days to get us a quote. Budget blinds was our last bid. Rex came onsite and had a bid for us in 20 mins. He was efficient and very professional. Rex had the lowest bid by $600 (including Costco). We didnt fell pressured in any way. After more research the shutters are the same Norman (top of the line) shutters we were quoted by other companies. We signed the contract with Budget Blinds. Rex was very upfront with us that these are custom shutters and it will take 6-8 weeks. We receive a call 1 week earlier than we thought. The installers came out with in days. we had one small leak in one of the windows. I asked the installers to install all the windows except the leaking window (until builder fix leak), Mary (Rex wife) emailed me the next day to see how everything went and to call her to schedule the final shutter install. Working with Rex and Mary has been a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Budget Blinds."

"Dlayton Contracting was a very good company to work with. Workers were easy to have around. Work was thorough and well done. Owner provided recommendations on chimney area design, and reinforced with better flashing to stop a leak problem. They removed rotten wood and replaced. Additional work done on dormers to replace old wood with hardie plank. Paint was applied as needed. Owner had foreman come back and touch up a couple of areas he was not satisfied with. All very professionally handled! We expect to have them back to re-roof a smaller rental place."

"Adrian and Jean did a fantastic job. The guys worked hard and did not quit in the heat of the day. My windows had not been cleaned for 5 or 6 years and were just filthy. When they were done, they really did seem to sparkle, and I feel like I have a new patio!! Wonderful and reliable company. I highly recommend them. I had "the works" done, but Sam the owner broke down the costs so that I could have chosen to have some things done but not others."

"Lico responded to me immediately and explained that if I gave him approximate sizes for the windows, he would provide an email estimate. Once I sent the sizes, he sent the estimate right away. When we chose to use this company, the measurer/installer contacted me within a day. Within a few days, they had measured and provided screen samples. A week or so later, the work was completed. There were a few issues I wanted addressed, and they responded immediately! Within a day, the installer returned and took care of the issues to my great satisfaction."

"This is a rather difficult review to summarize and write. Many parts of the job deserve an A rating for quality and responsiveness, while other significant aspects warranted a D or F rating. <br /> For this job, Noah?s Ark decided that it would be best to install all the new wood first and then stain and seal in place with the promise of special care and cleanliness when it came to the staining and sealing. Therefore, on day 1 of the job we finalized the contract grabbed all the materials and the carpentry crew went to work demo?ing all the old wood and installing the new. It was very obvious early on; they knew what they were doing and strived to do a quality job. With that said, the overall carpentry work was great and warrants an A rating. There were several door issues that popped up, in which they dealt with quickly by applying creative solutions. Once the carpentry work was near complete, the staining/painting guys came in <br /> to complete the drywall crack repairs. In short, they did a good job repairing and texturing some rather large cracks and deserve a B rating. <br /> The major issues arose when the staining and sealing took place.  First, the quality of the stain/seal work was very poor and would warrant an F rating. Every board and door has areas with runs and/or globs of stain and/or sealer. There was instances where they forgot to wipe the stain before it dries, and plenty of areas where not stained at all before sealing. Also, no effort was made to minimize the appearance of defects in the doors, nor keep them free of large debris when staining and sealing them. Secondly, little care was taken towards protecting the house while staining and sealing, therefore just about everything needed some level of attempted cleaning/recovery, which included but was not limited to carpet, tile, walls, windows, counter-tops, sinks, door hardware,  etc?.Needless to say, some items would just not come clean. The foreman of the job was notified several times, but there just seemed to be a flat out refusal, by the painters, to utilize tape, tarps, and paper. A final item of note here, once the carpentry work was completed; there was little management of the project from the foreman or owner. <br /> In summary, I would recommend Noah?s Ark for interior carpentry work (A). As for any painting, staining, or sealing I would be <br /> cautious and consider another company for the finish work. The job had such high potential to come out wonderful, but turned into a lot of extra work and headaches for us as we continue to repair, touch-up, and clean. <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Buda, TX

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
