"Sim was extremely professional in all aspects. The crew was efficient, careful and cleaned everything upon departure. I highly recommend True Traditions for home replacement windows and other improvements.  My home consistently gets efficient ratings from Duke Energy and the triple panes create a great sound barrier against any street noise! <br />"

"Fermin and his team were very responsive and did great work. We had our full interior and our front exterior repainted, and separately had to repair some interior damage from a leaky pipe, and they did a great job on all counts."

"Smooth as silk. Very professional. They were extremely careful not to damage woodwork that would be a pain to replace. Amazing how good these people are. We could not be happier with the windows they recommended and the installation they provided. We strongly recommend getting the installer first and then deciding on the windows. If you don't have a good installer, it doesn't matter how good (or expensive) the windows are. Do the job in the winter. No bugs. They take out one window at a time and replace it before moving on the the next one. This job took 2 days - with the owner and his long-term employee working hard. Two other companies said they could do it in 1 day. Either they were intentionally misinforming us - or - they were going to do a slap-dab job using several insufficiently trained laborers. They even noticed a loose flashing at the peak and repaired it without additional cost. These men are very, very good!"

"We are very pleased with the look and quality of our new windows. Bryan was great to work with on the front end and was thorough in explaining the windows' features and the overall installation process, the installation crew did a fine job installing and wrapping our new windows, and when I had some questions after installation, Joe and Bryan were quick to respond. I would definitely use Leap again for other home projects."

"Today Drake Window Cleaners cleaned all our outside windows, sills, and screens. (Some of the sills and windows were especially dirty and dusty because of flying dirt and dust from previous lawn mowing on ungrassy areas.) Mr. Cates did thorough, excellent work. The windows and sills are clean and look great. (And this review is from a picky person.) Having called several companies for estimates, I chose this company because the price was reasonable. Also, Mr. Cates came to our house and gave an estimate; he also came across as a person of trustworthy character. An email to them confirming the appt. time was answered promptly. Mr. Cates was prompt to arrive for the cleaning; he also gave helpful advice. Tim & Janie Lawrence 12/05/18"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Burlington, NC

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
