"Can't say enough good things about this company. Our central air went down, and Louisiana HVAC was the only service that would come out on the same day. We needed a new part, as it turned out, but Dax was able to perform a temporary fix, which held up perfectly. Two days later, he was back with the part. Had it fixed within an hour, and the price was reasonable. Dawn kept us updated throughout the entire process. If we need service again, we are definitely calling them first."

"They had to come back a couple times because they thought they fixed the problem but they had to come back because we had a gas leak. The part they replaced was leaking.

The first person they sent was experienced was knowledgeable. The second guy didn't have the same expertise. He had to call the frist guy a few times for assistance. The service wasn't as efficient since they had to come back and re do work."

"Richie and his employees showed up when they said they would, they worked professionally, and they were actually a kick to have around. You can tell that they work well, and they work well together. I got at least 4 plumbing bids before going with Richie. He isn't the cheapest. I think his was the second highest bid, but he has been in the plumbing business for years, and his father before him. My parents used to call his dad before he retired. I was willing to pay a little more for peace of mind. During construction, I was hit by copper thieves who broke off some pipes at the slab. Richie handled the work of re-installing the pipes, and he was reasonable with the labor charge. Once the house was finished, it was discovered that there was a blockage of some sort in a hot water line under the slab. It is suspected that other workers may have crimped a line with a shovel (not the plumber's fault!). When he discovered it, Richie suggested running an alternate hot water line to that part of the house. They did it without charging me extra. After months of being in the house, a house guest was the first to use one of the showers. We found the water flow was becoming low. Richie sent someone out that day to take apart the fixture and flush some debris from the line that was causing the low flow. I assume the concrete pebbles in the line came from the copper theft and reinstallation work at the slab."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Bush, LA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
