After texting him door measurements and a few pictures of the work to be done, George gave me an instant (and accurate) quote. A few days later, his team showed up after letting me know that day that they were running an hour behind. The delay didn't bother me, and I appreciated their prompt communication. Once they showed up, they went right to work, installing one new opener and servicing both doors (new springs on one door) -- finishing in about 1 hour. They showed me how everything worked, answered all my questions, and programmed the new keypad. A great experience from start to finish. "My family recently purchased a home that is 10 years old and during the inspection, an issue came up with the safety mechanism that keeps the garage door from closing down on an obstruction (like your car, kid, or pet). I called ABC Garage and the customer service was very thorough in explaining that older models to not have that feature, so she walked me through the various models and pricing in case we wanted to replace the unit. We have young kids, so I knew we'd probably want to go with the upgrade. The day of the service call, the technician arrived promptly and verified that the current system was old enough that it didn't have this safety feature. We discussed the options again (he had all three models in his van) and he installed it promptly. When that was completed, he also showed how the garage door itself could use to be adjusted so it made less noise when opened. I was happy to pay the additional fee to get that resolved. All told, it was a very positive experience - professional, thorough, friendly, and timely. There is a 5-year warranty on the unit and 1-year labor warranty, but I expect this product to last much longer in the future."
