"Zak showed up on time, looked at my to be fixed list and went right to work. He was able to loosen the shut-off valves in both bathroom sinks, so we we didn't have to replace those. (I'm 70 and arthritic, no strength in my hands and wrists.) If the shower regulator goes wonky again, I should be able to fix it myself as Zac showed me how. No charge for that fix. The toilet needed a new flapper-apparently the el crappo one I had used was no good-it was worth the $15 charge to finally not have to turn the water on/off to use the toilet! The cost of the project includes the new faucet which I guess to be $80-100 retail range (a nice Delta basic with sprayer). It was not a simple replumb; there were some challenges getting the old faucet out as parts were rusted and fused. Zac explained everything along the way, took care not to make a big mess and cleaned up after he was done. Took about 3 hours start to finish, including the time Zac took to go purchase the faucet and get the special tools needed to cut apart the old rusted parts. They will be coming back to install some shower rails for us after they get the parts. I will be calling these folks for any more plumbing repairs I need. I was so nice to call and actually talk to a live person and not play phone tag. I called them on a Thursday afternoon and they were here the next Monday morning as promised. This was a non-emergency call. BTW-they do charge $85 for a service call. This was work Plumb Tech originally did in December 2017. I had washed dishes in a dishpan and when I dumped the dishpan, water gushed all over the floor. I called they sent a tech over immediately-here in about 20 minutes. Turns out my old house and somewhat wobbley sink cabinet contribute to loosening the joints. The tech re-attached everything and tightened all the joints as much as possible. Everything is now working fine again. Done at no additional charge to me. I really need to have new cabinets installed so the sink will not move even a little, but the house is not worth that expense at this point. (We will be investigating some way of stabilizing things.) I really appreciate the fast response and not being charged."

"The changing of the compressor went well. However, had a leak in the furnace in the house. That was an additional leak which was $817! I also had a new thermostat installed to cut energy costs. The only problem was when prices quoted it would change with the person you talked to. When I paid my bill the company attempted to pad the bill by an additional $250 dollars. I told them it was either 817 or 876 dollars. I pad the additional cost. I will use them but only under my supervision and make sure they do the work requested. Caveat Emptor!"

"Purchased a water heater on Sunday (3/11/18), now, I needed an installer. I found a form to receive up to 4 quotes, so I filled it out. Within minutes (Sunday, mind you) I received a call from Terry Kennedy. Right away, I felt comfortable talking with him. I told what I needed, and what I had. He quoted me a price which I felt reasonable, so we scheduled an appointment for Tuesday (3/13/18). I received a text confirmation immediately. On the day o the appointment, I received a text that he was on his way. My daughter was home when he arrived, my wife showed up shortly thereafter (I was at work). This was about 10 am. By a little after 11 am, I received a text that the work was complete Wife and daughter both said he was very polite and courteous . The price was exactly what he quoted me, no pop up, on darn fees. Will definitely call Terry again, and will definitely recommend him"

"I had a few different companies come out and give quotes on replacing my hot water heater.  When I called Joe Lay & Sons, the man that I spoke with, Rob, was extremely friendly and helpful.  I was quoted a price that was fairly similar to the quotes I had received; however, based on the friendliness of the phone call, I decided to go with this company.
The men that arrived were professional, took off their shoes when entering the house, and finished the job in just a few hours. 
The only issue I had was that I had asked for them to call a few minutes before arriving so that I could put my two dogs away, and I didn't receive that phone call.
Overall, a good experience and I would definitely recommend.
