"We were looking into redoing our old deck and got a quote which we thought was reasonable for our large deck. Then for another estimate, we called 7th State Builders. They explained that for the same cost, we could get a paver stone patio (which in the long run is far less maintenance). The owner worked with our budget and the gentlemen who laid our pavers were extremely professional and worked within our wishes. They removed the deck and finished the patio in about a week. Awesome job! After a week or so, it had rain for a period of time and we noticed that a small dip in the patio was collecting a puddle. After a call, they came out and fixed the problem. We would definitely recommend this company for a patio."

"I called Waterproofing Inc on a Wednesday and we scheduled an appointment for an estimate for Saturday. Steve promptly came at the scheduled time and we reviewed the situation in my basement.   I told him of my goal to have a finished DRY basement.  He looked at my existing pump and drain. He suggested that I could apply (or have applied) plastic sheeting to the walls to help with the seepage problem. However, he doesn't do that type of work. He also asked me what I thought the problem was with the moisture problem. He suggested that he could extend the current waterproofing system along the entire back wall and gave me a written estimate for that work. The reason that I rated him a B and said I would hire him was because I didn't feel confident in his diagnosis of the root cause of the water problem and his proposed solution to address the issue so that my basement could be dry. I am looking for a one stop shop with a solution driven individual who comes in as a problem solver. I just didn't get that from Steve. He didn't even look (or ask to look) outside the house to see how the water comes off the back of the house where the problem is.  I'm guess if I just wanted someone to drill up the concrete and put a drain in, he would be fine because his price was reasonable for that work. But I'm looking for a holistic solution provider who will address all issues with the most effective and efficient techniques to keep my basement dry.  I just wouldn't hire him for that role."

"The company was responsive - gave me a same-week appointment.  Adolfo came to my house, assessed the work to be done, and quoted me a fair price.  He did the work right at that time.  The job was done well - it looks professional and neat.   He even colored the concrete so the patches would better match the existing concrete.  I am pleased with the work.

"Mr. Wilburn's crew showed up on time Thursday to rake my leaves.  They had to reschedule when the weather turned unfavorable in the middle of their work.  The crew returned Friday as promised to finish the work.  Since I was at the office that, I could not hand them the check in person.  Mr. Wilburn let me mail it.  My contractor was in the house that day take care of a project and commented that the crew did an excellent job.  I inspected the results afterwards and agree.  Mr. Wilburn's company will be back next year to mow my lawn and take care of my other landscaping needs.

"This was one of those great service experiences. Jim was quick to respond to my first enquiry by email, then very responsive and helpful by phone when we went over the project. He committed to coming on a weekend to remove an old mailbox and post and install a new pedestal mailbox.  He was very knowledgeable, pleasant and reliable both in his advice and his work.  He installed the new mailbox beautifully - returning after several days once the concrete had set to finish and clean up the job.  I wholeheartedly recommend this provider (Thanks so much for your help, Jim!).

"I had used Glenn many years ago for some masonry repairs and called him again for this project as I lost his number but I was elated to find his information on Angie's list. He came over very promptly after calling him and gave me written estimate detailing all the work to be performed. My front and back stoops and walk way renovation was a project I had put off for a long time, mostly from the dread of finding a quality mason contractor to do the job since I lost his number from before. Glenn kept me in the loop for the entire project and asked for my input along the way. They cleaned up the area around where the work was performed. Glenn was prompt and always called me every morning to tell me when to expect him, he was knowledgeable, personable and professional and I could go on and on! He and his crew finished the premium flagstone stoops and walkway exactly as designed ahead of the time he told me and strives for customer satisfaction as evidenced with his qualuty work. I can't think of any way this job could have been completed in a more professional manner or with a better company. Should I have need of a masonry contractor in the future, I will definitely call J & G Masonry as I was so very happy with the work performed. I'm already thinking about the next project that I can call Glenn about doing - possibly an outdoor brick oven. I miss seeing him come to my house every day. You won't be disappointed!"

"AC Paving did a superior job in resurfacing our 3600 square foot driveway. They had to cut out several areas where there were depressions and pave over roots, curves, and a round about. In the past, we have had several other paving jobs done, but by far, AC did the most professional job. You can just look at it and see it is a beautiful job, but the devil is in the details, the edge work is the best I have ever seen. The owner is right on site, directing his guys every step of the way. Reminds me of how my father ran his business. When I had a question about the wording of the contract, I called, and in 15 minutes the owner showed up at my door to review the fine print. Great customer service. You can tell this is a top notch business just by the way their trucks and equipment are in excellent shape, well maintained and clean.
