"Jerry was awesome?. He was honest and very reasonable. There are companies out they that will try to sell you a new AC unit instead of making the repairs...Liberty is NOT one of those companies. I highly recommend this company...these guys are fantastic."

"We hired Airmercia Air Conditioning & Heating to evaluate our heating system and propose repair solution. Ryan was very professional and punctual. He did not make any force sales. He just offered various repair and replacement solutions and explained pros and cons for each one. We decided to replace our furnace and duct system. Ryan did an excellent Job!! I highly recommend him for your HVAC project."

"Carini was excellent-from sales to installation. We are enjoying our new A/C. The job required research, creativity and planning since it is 45 year old house that was never meant to have air conditioning. Their sales rep, Kurt, is experienced as an installer and was definitely more knowledgeable than anyone from the other companies we received estimates from. His game plan made the most sense and was reasonably priced. In fact he was the only one who did not try to sell me on a new furnace and explained that my current furnace should last several more years versus the competition which was insisting that I'd be better off buying a new furnace since my current furnace was about 14 years old (Kurt added that the current furnace could be repaired if it did start giving me problems). Kurt came the day of installation to show the lead technician, Mark, how he envisioned the install to go. That made me feel good to know that the installer wasn't going to be improvising. Mark led a crew that came on time, confirmed the plans would work, and did the installation. They overcame a lot of hurdles including a small furnace closet, limited space for a condenser on the side of the house and attic access challenges. The job was finished ahead of schedule. Mark explained the system to me, and the house was left very clean. I highly recommend Carini, Kurt, and Mark as the lead technician."

Hydro jet uses water at 4,000psi to clean the inside of the mainline drain which connects all the home's drains to the city's sewer system.
Using a snake we can go through the cleanouts on the side of the house.
With the cleanouts snaked, and the blockage located, we can send the hydro jet through the sewer vent and flush out the blocked drain.

"The technician arrived on time, was extremely professional and very patient taking time to answer my questions regarding what I should be doing as a homeowner to maintain my system.
He started by sticking his head in the opening of my attic to look at the ducts & assessed what could/should be replaced. Then he inspected my AC unit, assessed its age and "state", opened the electrical panel to review the wiring, checked the refrigerant/flow and explained the basics of maintenance. We ended up going inside to look at the air filter and while their he conducted a similar inspection on my furnace. While my AC was running he used a surface thermometer to read temps at several of my registers. He took the time to explain how to clean my coil with a hose from the outside of the condenser and to take care not to use too high pressure.
In the end he made suggestions feel genuine and not like some high pressure sales tactic. I had a very positive experience and when he left I was happy to leave an A+ assessment on Angies list; however, when I reviewed what was supposed to be included in the "$39 for a Spring Air-Conditioning Tune-Up" that I paid for I realized I didn't do a good job in holding him responsible for executing everything in the package.
$39 for a 20-point Spring air-conditioning tune-up
Calibrating and leveling thermostat <- Didn't need doing I guess
Cleaning filters as needed <-- COMPLETE
Lubricating and inspecting bearings for wear  <-- didn't happen (maybe it didn't need to?)
Cleaning indoor coil (if accessible) <-- don't think it was accessible
Flushing and treating condensate drain with anti-algae product  <-- didn't happen
Inspecting condenser coil  <-- didn't get opened to look at
Monitoring operating pressures of refrigerant <-- COMPLETE
Inspecting safety devices for proper operation  <-- COMPLETE
Inspecting disconnect box for proper rating and installation <-- COMPLETE
Monitoring volts and amps on fan motor <-- Not sure
Tightening all electrical connections  <-- COMPLETE
Inspecting and testing contactor for burns and/or pits  <-- INSPECTED
Inspecting electrical for exposed wiring <-- COMPLETE
Inspecting and testing capacitors <-- INSPECTED
Inspecting fan blades <-- COMPLETE
Cleaning condenser coil and removing debris <-- Didn't happen
Inspecting service valves for proper operation <-- COMPLETE
Measuring temperature difference between supply and return <-- COMPLETE
Inspecting duct work for energy loss <-- wasn't thorough
Monitoring compressor for proper amp draw, volt draw, and wiring connections <-- Not sure
Reviewing the list after he left  I wish I would've insisted a better assessment of the ducting in my attic & that they cleaned the AC condenser coil.
I don't think there was any willful negligence on the techs part to get out of work, and ultimately I think I paid a fair price for what was completed. Even though Excel Air missed a few things from the package I would use the company again and would even recommend them to friends with the caveat to make sure you know what services are to be rendered before they arrive (and not after like I did).

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Camp Pendleton, CA

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
