"Jim was a real pleasure to work with, not only because of his pleasant demeanor and the good work he did but the advice he gave us on getting done what we wanted. He was not afraid to talk us out of things which were impractical or unwise. We were pleasantly surprised he was able to do the electrical and plumbing work which we thought we would need a general contractor to do. He charged us by the hour and didn't waste any time so the final price was quite reasonable. With the variety of things we initially asked him of him, he was more than willing to do them all. <br />"

"We were dying from heat during this heat wave and of course our HVAC went out. Our technician Steven was awesome. He came on time and fixed the problem within 30 mins. No upsell and a total straight shooter. I would’ve paid $1000 yo get fixed but it only cost $85. Highly recommend Steven and his team."

"The process was pretty easy. Everyone I dealt with was very professional. They were all very thorough during the entire experience. Just wish I received the car a little sooner. But you can't control the weather and or the traffic. Thank you guys!"

"Richard Osborn is the electrician that took care of my problems. He was able to arrive early for the appointment I made. Richard checked the circuit breakers and found that there was no problem at this time. He checked all of the electrical outlets and switches in all of the areas of the house that were impacted by the power outage. He replaced two light switches. He found a suspect wiring issue in one of the bedrooms light switch and fixed it. He kept me informed and showed me everything he did. Richard is down to earth, friendly and conceisious. I highly recommend Oz Electric and will use their service again for any future needs."

"<p>Mr. Dove didn't do the work.  It was two of his employees or subcontractors.  The installation of the wiring, ceiling fan and ceiling light went fine, but the drywall repair wasn't that good.  The texture they sprayed on the walls didn't even remotely match the existing wall texture, so their patch job was obvious.  Also, they didn't reconnect something in one of the outlets so only the top socket worked.  When I notified Mr. Dove, he came out the next day to fix it.  I was impressed by Mr. Dove's professionalism, and would hire him again provided he did the work.  </p> <br />"

"My 96 year old mom has a dog that she loves. This dog has been peeing on her bedroom carpet for 2 years. It smelled awful and made the whole 1000sq foot house stink. Mom and the dog aren't going anywhere so the carpet had to go but I didn't want to just replace it so the dog can pee up a new carpet.  <br /> Robert came over and I explained the situation.  He gave me an estimate.  I called back 6 weeks later.  They still had my estimate and scheduled the job.  Robert and his partner arrived on time.  They did the work as Robert had outlined in the estimate.  Rip up carpet and pad.  Wash the floor with a concrete cleaner.  Seal the concrete floor with an antimicrobial sealer which Robert recommended if the dog pees in there again (which sadly will probably happen).  Get rid of the old carpet.  They were finished in less than 2 hours.  They were polite and considerate.  <br /> Boy, does my house smell better!  All hail D-Mac. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for thermostat installation and replacement projects in Campo, CA

Smart thermostats may be worth it for many homeowners. They come with various features, including voice control and smartphone apps. Vacation mode can help lower energy usage when you’re out of town for an extended period. Alert warnings let you know about major spikes or drops in temperature. Smartphone apps can track energy usage, and smart thermostats can learn your routine over time to adjust your temperature and reduce wasted energy consumption automatically.

You typically do not need more than one smart thermostat. While it’s common to see multiple mechanical thermostats throughout a large home, multiple smart thermostats may try to override each other. This can lead to problems with the HVAC system. Ensure the unit you buy has the option for dual- or multi-zoned systems to avoid compatibility issues.

Installing a programmable or smart thermostat may save you $180 per year in utility costs. A big part of this comes from a smart thermostat’s ability to learn and adapt to your regular routines. With smartphone apps or web-based interfaces, you also have the option to control your thermostat when you’re not home.
