"Foundation repairs made to a duplex, by another contractor, resulted in some expected damage to the support structure of two wooden decks.  Bill's Home Repair replaced six wooden support columns and four rotted rim joists. Three workers, supervised by Bill, completed the work in three days.  The work was competently done, on time and at a reasonable price. I'll use them again/ <br />"

"John did a fantastic job. First, he's very easy and pleasant to work with, which is a great help. He helped me choose the paint which I wound up being very pleased with. His work is outstanding. He was extremely professional and courteous at all times. He didn't skimp on prep work and I don't think I've ever seen a better painting job. He painted ceilings, walls and trim. He actually cleaned my baseboards before he painted them. The job included painting panel insets (6 of them) in a contrasting color and the trim around them. It also included painting the iron railings going up to the first landing and the iron railings going up the stairs to the second floor. John always cleaned up after himself beautifully. I had hired John originally by reading reviews on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. I have 3 more projects that he has given me estimates for, and I'm hoping he won't be so busy he won't have time for me!"

"Of the contractor's we had come out to give us a bid on the painting, I was sure The Paint Doctor would be the highest bid. Surprisingly, not! In fact, the experience from beginning to end was top notch. Joe, the estimator, was very friendly and gave us many choices on the kind of Sherwin Williams paint to choose from. After he inspected the house, he went to his car & put the whole proposal together for us. We were concerned about our metal barrel shingles and being sure the painter would know where to step in order not to dent the shingles. Joe assured us that their painters were familiar with this type of shingle and there would be not problem. Martin did everything from the power washing to causing, painting and staining. He did an excellent job and you could tell he took pride in his work. We are happy to recommend The Paint Doctor to anyone and felt the pricing was excellent."

"Another excellent experience with Gary Dutch and his crew from Dutch’s Home Improvement. I’ve used him for several door and window replacement projects at both my home and my mother’s, and I have always been highly satisfied. This time was no exception. This project consisted of replacing the old, not-very-attractive front door at my mother’s house with a new energy-efficient door with a color matching the house trim and custom stained-glass inserts, plus a matching storm door. Due to this extensive customization, the price was not cheap, but the door is stunning and my mother is absolutely thrilled with the result, so it’s money well-spent. What I valued most with Gary was the extensive time he took researching and explaining to us all the options available, and walking us through the selection process. We would never have known how to fill out all the details about size and fit on the order form, but Gary did, and when the door was delivered, it was exactly what we had imagined and fit perfectly. The delivery did take two months, but that was expected due to its being a custom order. Gary is a true professional, taking the time to learn his customers’ exact wishes and expectations and then guiding them through the process to ensure a satisfying result. (On one past occasion, he even shouldered the cost of an error in the ordering process, although the error was made by the manufacturer, not by him or me.) He is a joy to work with, and I heartily endorse him."

"We were extremely pleased with the work Rethink Enterprises did for us, building a beautiful garage that matched the exterior of our house on a property with a significant slope and size constraints. Charles, Tyler and all their employees were extremely friendly, helpful, cheerful, resourceful and good at problem solving. Watching the way they all worked together made it very clear that the company is well run. Rethink uses an online contract package that provides all the pricing details for the home owner. It is easy to understand and access online. Charles, who is the up-front man, was amazing to work with. We are accustomed to dealing with contractors who are a bit fuzzy about the details, fuzzy about pricing, not particularly good at listening to feedback and not particularly good at dealing with building and planning departments. Charles was the opposite: -he listened very well to what we wanted -he immediately got in touch with the planning and building departments to understand their expectations, -he worked and reworked the details, both physical and financial, to come up with the perfect design and location for the garage that met all the complicated requirements caused by the slope of the property. We only ran into one problem with this project and that was with their gutter subcontractor who did not meet requirements. Charles kept after them, however, until they returned and did the job correctly, so all worked out well. In sum, Rethink Enterprises was great!"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Canon City, CO

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
