"Amril was very responsive, I had him come to my house before purchasing the 'Handyman for a Day' deal, to see if the tasks I had in mind could be done within the 8 hours. We determined it could be done by 2 men in 4 hours due to the weight and size of door to be installed and the second story work from a ladder. Purchased the deal and we agreed that he would do the work once I had the materials on hand. I purchased the door, had to be ordered and took 2 weeks to arrive. Meanwhile, I also purchased a strip of siding and J-channel to have on hand for repairs and the caulk. Admir supplied the fasteners needed for the siding repairs.Once the door arrived, we arranged to do the work on my next day off. In the meantime, I had sent him the installation instructions to review prior to doing the job. Admir and his helper arrived on time and started right in on the work. Completed the storm door replacement in about an hour. Then the siding repairs. No more siding flapping in the wind! also replaced some cracked trim pieces. Caulked most of my windows, and we agreed I could finish up on my own after purchasing more caulk. The storm door looks good, however there were a couple of details that could have been completed better. Although I had sent him installation instructions and had a copy on hand, he did not really pay much attention to them. So the door is in, but a couple of parts were not installed, leaving some gaps at the bottom of door frame I had not read instructions either - just skimmed thru them, assuming he was the professional and would do it right. I will be able to do something about the gap, however. Siding repair was done well considering the way it was installed nearly 25 years ago. Before he left. I discussed a new deal his company is offering on Angie's List for some masonry work. I will definitely consider Ado Construction for future work, but I will pay more attention to detail before and during the work."

"Beautiful work! Keith finished our log home exterior siding. He was reactive on the phone, very communicative, answered all my questions, gave recommendations, and was on-time. I’m extremely happy with the quality of the work he did. I would recommend him to anyone and I’m looking forward to work with him on future projects."

"<p>In early December I brought my computer to Libertek.com, Incorporated because my screen was freezing quite often along with the keyboard locking up.  They performed a diagnostic and found an adware program plus they told me the hard drive starting to fail and needed to be replaced. That service,  cost $81.00.  </p> <p>At the time I wanted to wait until January. The Libertek Technician told me that when a hard drive fails,  it fails quickly to where data cannot be transferred from the old hard drive to the new hard drive.  When that happens,  they would need all the original software to program the new hard drive. This would be a costly and a time consuming effort. </p> <p>In late December my computer was really starting to fail where I was losing segments of memory;  Windows would perform a recovery to restore those lost segments.  I brought the computer to Libertek on the afternoon of 12/30/2014,  expecting a 1-2 week turn around. To my surprise; I received a call on 1/2/2015 telling me the computer was ready to go.  I picked it up that afternoon and it's been working perfectly.  This second visit cost $150.00 for the new hard drive, $75.00 for labor,  plus sales tax.</p> <p>I highly recommend Libertek.com.  I feel this company Is very honest, professional, with quality workmanship and truly responsive. </p> <br />"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Catskill, NY

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
