"Marco was on top of everything and his crew was great. I had a covered deck put on. They were here the whole week and the crew picked up every single day so that we did not have to worry about stepping on nails, or my kids messing with their tools. They washed the deck down when done, and even aerated the part of the yard that they trampled down while working on the deck. Our deck looks and feels amazing, And have gotten so many compliments on it in just a few short days. It's difficult to find someone nowadays that responds in a timely manner, and professional. Could not be more pleased with their work on the deck."

"Estimator was out a few days after I contacted them.  Very prompt.  Clear design plan and bid.  Work was preformed on time, withing constraints caused by weather.  Had a few plants that did not survive the winter and they were replace promptly and without any argument.  Workers were polite and careful.  Cleaned up after they were done.

"I called Ryan for an estimate for deck refinishing on 4/19/2012.  He stopped by a few days later with an estimate and said someone would come by and power wash the deck before refinishing.  I called him on 5/2/2012 without hearing anything since 4/19/2012.  He said someone should have come by to power wash the deck.  It is now 5/23/2012 and no one has power washed the deck and no communication from Mr. Nice Guy.  I think his estimate was very reasonable.  But with no work and no communication, I would not recommend using Mr. Nice Guy for any work.  Again, I know we have had some rain/storms and that limits deck refinishing.  But it would have been nice to receive any sort of update.  No updates at all.  I just left a message today & will update this review (if I hear anything from Ryan).  

Ryan called on 6/28/2012.  Everything was sorted out and the deck was power washed on 6/30/2012 and stained on 6/2/2012.  The work is excellent.  After some initial communication mix ups, his work was excellent.  

Overall, I would use Mr. Nice Guy again despite the communication problems."

"Mike Schmidt and his crew were awesome to work with and they did a wonderful job making my kitchen ideas come to life. My house was built in 1953 and has never had any updating to speak of in the kitchen. When Mike came to my house to give me a bid, he was such an upbeat, positive person. He listened to all my ideas and always made me feel like my ideas had value. When they encountered hurdles, because my house is old, they would discuss the challenge with me in full, and brainstorm ideas with me of how to still make my ideas happen-in a way that would work. It was so helpful having them there brainstorming with me, like they could see into my head at what I was dreaming of. They truly worked on this job like it was their own house and project. Mike is a positive person and super easy to talk to. I don't think Mike every had a bad day. He seems to love life, the work he does, and customers he serves. Joe and Rick both have such expertise on the job. They quite obviously have had a lot of experience because everything they worked on turned out to be quality work. I have already recommended Mike, Joe, and Rick to a few of my friends who have been VERY happy with the work, and with the great referral. I will continue to use Schmidt Construction myself any time I need work done, and continue to recommend Schmidt Construction to my friends. I smile a big smile every time I walk into my new, beautiful IKEA Kitchen!!

"The owner, Paul Stoural, was wonderful about communicating with me through phone calls and text messages. Without him fighting USAA for our new roof for almost 2 years we would not have the roof today! We had 2 roof estimators come out from USAA and both claimed no recent hail damage even though we had pictures of the hail . Then Paul Stoural asked USAA for a civil engineer to come out and look at roof. USAA said civil engineer said no need for roof. Then Mr. Stoural said we might consider talking to retention department at USAA since we have been with them over 20 years. My husband did that and within the week USAA had approved the new roof. We had given USAA pictures of the golf ball size hail and they didn't care. The owner of Marathon, Paul Stoural, has been in business for over 17 years in Bellevue. His workers all did a good job of sweeping up at the end of the day since I was concerned with nails getting in my car tires. We also got new gutters on entire house. A great roofing company and wonderful people to work with. They had put on the vinyl siding too and it looks great too!"

"I contacted Quality Home Improvements about a number of renovation projects I wanted to complete, but I had several ideas in mind. Brad was very helpful when making decisions on things that were on my dream list, while also keeping my budget in mind. There were a few things that I knew before hand that I wanted for sure, one being certain lighting, but Brad had better options available for me than I even knew about. His experience helped a lot because I wasn't aware of all of the details that go into renovating a home. He had suggestions on everything and even talked me out of things that I thought would work good in my home, but he knew it wasn't the right fit for what I was wanting. It was helpful that he has worked with a number of different products so he could tell me the pros and cons to different things. I was also impressed that when Brad told me he was going to do something or be somewhere, he was always there. Every day he said he was going to be working on my house, he was there. It was helpful in keeping the renovating process stress free because I felt that things were moving along in the process, instead of feeling like things were at a standstill. I have no complaints about this process with Quality Home Improvements. It actually went a lot smoother than I ever anticipated and I think that was due to having a contractor who was well experienced. His work is VERY TEDIOUS and there is nothing that I saw that I wished had been done better. My house was always left in the condition that I left it or better, and remnants from working were always picked up. If I ever need any other remodel work done, I know who I will contact."
