"<p>We experienced a clog in the pipes leading from our kitchen sink on Thanksgiving and we were unable to unclog it ourselves.  Several hours later we noticed a small leak from one of the pipes.  We called S&S Plumbing that night and after determining that as long as there was no water in the sink, the leak would stop, S&S Plumbing said they would be out the next morning by 10 am.  They called before coming and arrived early.  It was quickly discovered that there were several issues going on, least of which was the clog.  At one point, we had four people working on the issue, all at the same hourly quote.  They provided us with a solution that was both cost effective and did not require major work or time.  We could not recommend them more strongly.</p> <br />"

"Mitch, the owner came out and discussed ideas and had many pictures of his work. I appreciated how he worked around my schedule and was always on time.  <br /> He helped with the layout, design and color ideas of the paver blocks. His crew came in and removed the existing concrete patio and dug and prepped the foundation for the new patio. We also had him construct a gas fire pit as well. The fire pit required that a gas line and upgraded gas meter be installed as well. Mitch took the lead on these task as well and coordinated the contractors and efforts required. All the work was detailed and finished on schedule.  <br /> The professionalism of Mitch and his crew were a breath of fresh air in today's world of poor contractors.   <br /> We are very happy with the results."

"The service technician who installed the furnace came the day prior to the scheduled installation and installed the new gas pipe from the meter to the approximate area where the new furnace would be installed.  The next day he removed the oil furnace and installed the new gas furnace, relocating the existing humidifier and Air Bear furnace filter to a more efficient position in the system,  He then replaced the thermostat with a new thermostat which enabled the system to be able to operate with the existing electric heat pump and air conditioner.  He had a single helper on the first day and two helpers on the second.  He completed the removal and new installation in about 5 hours, so we were not too long without heat,  All went smoothly and the heat has been comfortable,  I would recommend Favret to anyone considering a new Hi-efficiency system.  I had reviewed approximately six providers on Angie's List and had received 5 bids on the work I needed.  Favret had the best price to begin with for the Carrier Hi-efficiency furnace that I wanted. <br />"

"The gas utility told us at around 1PM that we had two small problems to deal with before turning on the gas to the hot water tank and the furnace: a new shut off valve for the first and a thermocouple for the other. We called Monroe around 1:30PM and left a message on the answering machine. We received a call from them at 2PM and were told they could be there in a half hour. Dan arrived around 2:30PM and the work was completed before 3:30PM. Don't you wish EVERYTHING worked out like that?! We were so pleased, absolutely NO complaints here! <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Celina, OH

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
