"This company came highly recommended! They installed electric to our workshop, upgraded our house electrical system and installed a 30 amp outlet for our RV and a 50 amp power hookup for jacuzzi. We will absolutely use them again! We appreciated the timely communication and valued their professional recommendations. They did an excellent job!"

"Soda Valley installed a transfer switch for a generator. They also did some trouble shooting on a bad gfi outlet and replaced it. The quality of work was perfect. Here is what set them apart. Jonathan returned my initial call very quickly. He was very friendly and knowledgeable on the phone. He set a time to come do the work and showed up when he said he would. He explained that there would be a slight delay in getting a necessary part (supply issue, just like everything). Once the part was procured, he finished the job promptly. Jonathan gave me detailed instructions on how to operate everything. I could not ask for a better job than this. I can definitely recommend."

"Quinton and his helper did a great job installing three outlets and 2 light fixtures yesterday. He arrived on time and was very efficient. He is a professional and you could tell he had a lot of electrical knowledge. His pricing seemed fair. They cleaned up everything as they moved from one project to the next. No need to look anywhere else, just call him now!"

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Centerville, AR

To select and hire an electrician for your light switch installation, start by evaluating candidates as you would for any skilled position. Ask detailed questions, request a written quote, and verify their licensing credentials. This careful screening prevents unexpected fees and ensures every aspect of the installation, including any drywall repairs, complies with code.

A light switch can malfunction due to compromised wiring or overheating conditions. Faulty connections and excess heat diminish the switch’s performance. If you hear crackling, popping, or hissing sounds when toggling the switch, this indicates active electrical faults that pose a safety hazard and demand immediate professional inspection. Prompt attention prevents further damage and ensures reliable operation.

Installing a light switch takes 30 minutes or less, on average. The installation time depends on the switch type, with dimmer switches requiring additional time compared to standard on-off switches. While the hardware replacement might be completed in 15 minutes, it's essential to adhere to safety protocols, like turning off the circuit breaker and verifying there's no power, for a safe and code-compliant installation.
