"Matthew was very quick to get back to me and get the job done right. I had a leaking toilet that was not seated correctly so it ruined the floor beneath. I had this issue fixed 3 times before. Matthew came out and replaced the flooring underneath it and now it sits correctly on the floor and no longer leaks. I would definitely have them come back if I had any other plumbing problems"

"Excellent. Honest service that performs what is necessary. They called me to make sure we were on the same page if additional work was needed. Bob is friendly and explains to you mechanics that you might not understand. Recommended! <br />"

"We highly recommend Josh & Jacob and the rest of the Independent Mechanical team! They did a great job installing central AC into our home. The work was completed on time, despite the grueling July heat they encountered in our attic. They were very neat and respectful of our property and the cost was reasonable. It was a very good experience!"

"It took them two days to complete the job. They had some parts that they actually had to get the local plumbing supply to open Sunday morning for them. They did the job over a weekend, when another company wasn't even going to come out until that Monday, and it was 6 below zero. We were trying to keep a three story house warm, so that the rest of the pipes didn't break, and these guys were out there. They worked all day Saturday and then came back the first thing Sunday and got the job wrapped up and the heat on by Sunday afternoon. They were $4,000 less than the other company. I did have to have them come back and do adjustments twice on the furnace. They came out, but probably somewhat reluctantly."

"I contacted Mr. Brulotte after my usual plumber would not return my calls. He set up an appointment within 3 days of the call.  <br /> While he was here he discovered faulty valves and replaced those too. He needed to go out for additional parts and did not charge me for travel time. He was professional and completed the job quickly. <br /> I will continue to use him for all my plumbing issues in the future.  <br /> Excellent provider!! <br />"

"This is a historic home in Farmington, not some modern home where you can rely on standard building methods to get things done. A full crew showed up to demo the old bath(s) piping. They were able to troubleshoot and overcome plenty of oddities in the 1800's home, assemble a brand new (from the basement to the 2nd floor) plumbing system, and pass inspection on the first go. They constantly checked each other's work to ensure that the job was done right when they walked out the door, and even had an IRC book with them to reference code when needed! What really made it great for me was their pointers and advice on how to do my portion of the renovation to mate up with theirs seamlessly, and their willingness to work with me. I'm sure if you have some small issue or a modern bath that needs some refreshing, they could do it eyes closed... but a plumber who can handle a 130-year-old home and plan out a completely up-to-date bath in it is much, much rarer. If you needs are out of the ordinary, I'd call Matt before anyone else."

"I received a call back almost immediately after submitting a service request on-line.  Nelson and Segundo came out within a day or two to estimate the work.  They were professional, thorough, explained the work needed and advised someone in the office would contact me to schedule the work.  Office did contact me the same day and scheduled the appointment for a SUNDAY.  While very convenient for me, I wondered how happy a crew would be to work on a Sunday (read as, would the work quality be the same?).  But they explained they had to work around weather all the time and it would be just another work day for them.  They showed up on time, completed the work during the expected time and cleaned up after themselves.  They were polite, respectful and provided helpful information.  In summary, from the moment I requested an estimate until completion of the work, everything was great.  They came out a couple of weeks later to waterproof the chimneys.  I would use them again and highly recommend them. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Central Village, CT

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
