"Blair Exteriors replaced several wooden windows in my 80 year old home with Wincore vinyl windows and did a phenomenal job. The crew arrived on time, got the job done in a reasonable amount of time and then cleaned up after themselves. The windows and trim look great. Further, the price I was invoiced for at the end of the job was exactly what was quoted to me at the outset of the project. I am planning to replace the rest of the windows next year and will definitely be using Blair again."

"<p>We have generally not been very pleased with the landscape division of Wayne's. I have had positive dealings with the pest control and termite areas of the company in terms of price and quality of work, but the landscape area hasn't lived up to my expectations. </p> <p>1) They do not always come on the same days or consistently throughout the year to cut my grass.</p> <p>2) There have been at least 2 times in the last year where they did not cut a fairly large portion of my yard.</p> <p>3) They cut my grass far too low and now it looks horrible</p> <p>4) my contract stipulates that they will trim back my shrubbery. They have not done this one time without me complaining about. I expect them to trim them back as needed--I should not have to remind them periodically to do it.</p> <p>5) The yard is less green than it was with Trugreen/Chemlawn. This is likely due to not fertilizing at the correct times</p> <p>6) I have tried to enlist them to do some general landscape work in my flower beds (installing drainage) and the price they quoted me was ridiculous ($1000 for about 6 hours work). It was apparent that they had no interest in doing the install.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>At this point the only thing keeping me with Wayne's landscape is the pest control services I receive and the lower price I get from bundling.</p> <br />"

"Good job. <br /> Quality is acceptable if left on his own. <br /> He was open to suggestions and followed instructions. <br /> Job overall was good. <br /> He doesn't do concrete very well, but was willing to follow instructions to improve <br /> He offered to come back and fix ANYTHING that may show leaks or need repairs. <br /> Even if it was a year later, he said. <br /> <br /> ... <br /> <br /> A week has passed and I have found details here and there. <br /> Unfortunately it's details reflecting on his skills, not on his good will. <br /> I would not have him back to do a job that needs skilled craftsmanship. <br />"

"The process of placing the order for the window went smoothly. They sent out a sales rep and we discussed what I needed, and I placed the order. The problem was when the installers came out they did a horrible job of installing the window. They installed the window while I was at work, so my wife was there while they installed it. She told them that I would have to give my approval when I got home. When I got home I noticed that the trim was not properly done, and half of the caps for the mounting holes were missing, and caulk was used to fill the holes. To make matters worse, the caulk was smeared on the frame of the window, so they didn't do a neat job of being trying to cover up the fact that they didn't install half the caps. There was some scuff marks on the external window frame, and the window wasn't cleaned properly, A minor issue, but when that is your business you would hope that they would try and make it look as good as possible. <br />  I took pictures of the installation and sent them to the sales rep, who forwarded them on to the Window World office. I was contacted via phone and told that they would send out a repairman to fix the problem the next day. The repair job was an improvement, but not good. I again contacted the sales rep who did not return my call. <br /> I was really disappointed in Window World. I will have to try and do the repair work myself, which is not why you contract a company to do this kind of work. <br />"

"We are thrilled with the final project as it exceeded our expectations! I do not like the look of a traditional storage unit and wanted something that looked like it was part of the house with columns, gabled roof, siding on the front peak, and removable lattice panels so that we could use the garden house for storage and/or gardening projects. It looks stunning and our neighbors were impressed with our new addition (they thought it was a new room and were shocked to see that it was for storage). Connie and Greg were always on time, polite, and gave us great ideas and suggestions and all work was done quickly and to very exacting standards. We are so thrilled that we are going to use them to remodel our master bathroom and kitchen, two very big jobs. <br />"

"M & M Home Repair came and helped me finish the project that another contractor left me mid way.  It is a family run business.  Cost wise they might be a little bit higher than most.  But taking into the consideration the problems that I had with the previous guy I would probably say they are pretty close.  Scheduling was a bit of problem since he is a very busy guy and that is because they do quality work.  I looked through the project that he did for me and found that he had left out one or two things and we laughed when I teasingly asked him how he could have left them out when he calls himself a quality guy.  As for punctuality I had a hard time there because they are very busy.  There are very few whom I would use in the future but I would go with them."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Centreville, AL

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
