"Following a home inspection I needed some odds and ends electric work done. Add 4-5 GFCI, ground a few plugs, etc. Also there were two knob and tube wires totaling under 20” in length that needed replacing. Items that most handle homeowners can do but I wasn’t allowed to because of the selling process, etc. I also needed it done within 7 days. A guy from Cox Electric came to my house to give me an estimate. (I’ll get back to that…) The guy that DID come to fix (Bill from another company) took 3 hours, did a beautiful job, and charged me $850. What was Cox Electric estimate? $3250. With materials costing under $50, this comes to over $1000/hour. While not against the law, gauging homeowners that are going through the process of selling a home is unethical."

"Called S and S for a quote. Scott came the very next day. Quote was reasonable. They came a few days later and replaced my bathroom exhaust fan and 2 front door outside lights. Did a super nice job. Very happy with them, and would definitely recommend them to others. "

"Contractor had good communication and the project went well on time as planned. He had to come back same day for a couple of things missed . I would give this an A rating but when I discovered the outside outlet that was replaced was not working I contacted the contractor who did not respond. I tried 3 more times in a year and even saw a coworker down the street and told him about the outlet but nothing was ever done to remedy this and I had to hire someone else to fix what was not wired correctly. I was really disappointed as this could and should have been taken care of. Had it not been for that I would have rated this an A in all categories."

"Awful service. I had set up an appointment over a week ago with Michael Smolinski, Electrician in Rhode Island. I needed a simple garbage disposal installed and an outlet and on/off switch installed. A plumber came earlier than expected last week and installed their part. I just needed the electrician to do his part. I had an appt. set with Michael but called him twice last week to see if he could come out earlier since the plumber was able to do their job earlier... if he could not, I totally would understand since I already had an appt. with him and assumed he was booked up. I never heard back from him last week (which again is fine because my appt. was already set for the following week). The day of my appt. comes. I stayed home all day waiting for him (appt. was scheduled for NOON). He calls me at 11:33am to tell me he cannot come. He said he is sick and cant make it and he doesn't know when he can come, he'll let me know when he feels better. Such a waste of my time and HORRIBLE Customer Service. I will never use or recommend him to ANYONE. AWFUL!"
