"A company that repaired my gutters pointed out that three windows on my second floor looked rotted. After shopping for three new windows, most installers wanted to replace entire thing. Chuck came out and inspected my windows, took pictures and sent them to me. He noted that only the sash part of the windows was rotted, so that only it needed to be replaced, not the entire frame set. So, he was able to save me about $1,400 on the three windows. He and his assistant showed up on time, removed the three, installed and caulked new double-pane vinyl windows in just a couple of hours."

"My service engine light has been on for two years indicating a very minor leek in the emissions system.  I have had an independent BMW shop attempt to resolve issue without success.  I tried the BMW dealership; they replaced a pump that was working fine; service engine light reappeared within one month.  My time was limited because I was unable to pass inspection with this issue.  We have been having our other two cars serviced by A&M and have been extremely satisfied.  For some unknown reason I didn?t realize they serviced BMW?s.  I called Dutch and Steve and explained the issue and to see if they would work on a BMW.  They indicated that they in fact do handle BMW?s.  I dropped the car off; they quickly diagnosed the problem and identified a couple other minor issues (if there is such a thing with a BMW).  Repairs were completed within 24 hours at a reasonable cost.  Needless to say, I will bring my BMW to A&M for service in the future. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"We had purchased replacement door, intending to install it ourselves -- Ha! We removed old frame, read directions, then called for professional help. Dale and son came promptly, worked efficiently and expertly, and left us smiling with lovely new door. Very pleasant, responsive, professional. Highly recommend!"

"Lasting Impressions Home Solutions did a great job on the siding project. This was a major project involving tearing out the old masonite siding, wrapping the house with Hardie wrap, and then custom fitting the Hardie siding on our house. The quality of their work was very good and our house looks really great. We are very pleased. They also put in new windows on the front of the house and on the bonus room over the garage. The Mezzo windows are first-rate, look great, and really keep out the cold air that our old windows leaked in. Very happy with those as well. We'll be having them install windows on the back of the house next spring."

"Was it worth waiting months for? ABSOLUTELY. <br /> There's a reason these guys are #1 and other bidders look dejected when they know that Doug is being considered. They are great.  <br /> Starting with Doug. Here's an owner who goes all out to communicate with you about your project. You'll know when work is scheduled and who's coming and what to expect. <br /> The building crew (I had Jason's crew) are a tight-knit group that work together to produce amazing results. My deck is elevated over 10 feet and the crew handled it without any problems. Dependable and respectful. Would gladly have this team work anytime for me. It all turned out beautifully. <br /> Other tradespeople were great too. Electrician wired everything as requested (and got me to add infrared heating). Painters were hardest working, happiest crew I've ever seen. And the guys installing gutters were out there on a Sunday to keep the project on track. <br /> Only wish I could post photos here... <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Charlotte, NC

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
