Rob came to my house, quoted me an insulation install, made absolutely sure that they would not cover any existing knob and tube with insulation and prevent a fire. The crew showed up and completed the job in one day. Once they got started it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing - and they managed to shimmy into the extremely small attic access and cleaned up my rat jerky in the crawlspace!  Getting a quote for the job was very straight-forward with JM Plumbing & Mechanical.  I sent a message to JM Plumbing and Mechanical through Angie's List message feature.  I described the 3 problems and received a prompt response with a quote of $350.  Jerry and TJ arrived ahead of the scheduled time, and got right down to business.  They let me know the sequence they would be working on the issues and immediately shut off the water and got to work.  After the work started, I mentioned another problem with the water running in the toilet and Jerry said he would look at that as well.  They were prepared with the parts they needed for the initial repair requests, but needed additional parts for the toilet repair so went to Home Depot to get those and then returned and completed the shower handle, toilet repair, and outside faucet repair very quickly.  Then TJ got under the house, found the leaky pipe and caulked that.  That job alone was a big relief to get taken care of.  Considering the crawlspace under this house, I had no idea how much something like this would cost to have fixed, but it was completed by TJ like it was no big deal.  Before leaving, two more issues came up unrelated to my original request.  Jerry was very sincere in offering to check those out as well and did so in a matter of minutes.  I could not be more satisfied with the value I received for $350 and would definitely use this company again.

"I originally contacted Harry for an estimate on the work, I only had the intention of renovating the bathroom without expanding it, but Harry was able to quote me a very reasonable price for all the work that was going to have to be done in order make it possible. Harry laid out many options for different aspects of the bathroom that would adjust the cost one way or the other and also laid out the design that would best fit for the space that was available. Work began pretty quickly after we agreed to a price and a timeline. Harry kept us informed throughout the whole process and let us know immediately when some unexpected things came up during the renovation. Harry let us know what the issue was, how he was going to fix it and any affect that it might have on the original budget that was planned on. 
Harry and all of his employees were extremely professional and they took great care to ensure that our daily lives were inconvenienced as little as possible and that the construction did not damage any other parts of the house. Since the completion of the project Harry has contacted us a few times to ensure that everything is still working well, no issues have arisen about the renovation but I feel completely confident that he would quickly address anything that might go wrong. We still talk with Harry and I do plan on contacting him in the future when we remodel our kitchen.

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
