"The process was slow initially as I had to interview several HVAC before finding 3 who were willing to do the work. One was priced much too high and I didn't like the initial proposal of the placement of lines. Another contractor didn't fill me with confidence and they are part of a company that split off with different franchises (I believe). NETR's contact person, Russell, who evaluated the project was open to the idea as well as followed up with technical advice as this was a nonconforming application. After several reviews by NETR personnel and outside engineers to make sure there was enough airflow for the compressor, where and how to run the lines inside the loft; I had my carpenter build an aluminum box which took time as it was custom-ordered of sheets to be build on premises. After it was setup, NETR took over, evaluated the box, re-reviewed the plans, and subsequently sent 2 very competent techies. The job took 3 1/2 days which was fine with me. The last day a 3rd technician replaced one who had to go over to another job. They were polite and answered any questions I had. They left the place in clean condition. The system lines looks very nicely put together, works beautifully, cools the condo very nicely (remember 23 5' high windows w/plenty of solar gain). They subcontracted an experienced electrician who's expert workmanship convinced me that I will use him for future work. Terrific company who's customer service is conscientious and with good follow-through. Their abilities and experience revealed themselves in this application and I'm very grateful that they wanted to try out this nonconforming application as the only options left to me were window ACs which I find unsatisfactory, and in the bedroom impossible to sleep with while on. <br />"

"This was my first annual maintenance on my new Lennox gas furnace. Alex showed up on time and went to work immediately while clearly explaining to me the maintenance he was doing on the furnace. He clearly and thoroughly answered any questions I had. He even took off his shoes when going up into the house to adjust the thermostat. "Diagnosis and repair were straightforward and the talented Mike, who has done other great work for us on our ACs, had a replacement pump in his truck. Swapped over in under an hour. Cost of the repair was quite high, mainly due to very high price they charged for the pump. A Taco pump that I could buy for $175 was priced on this repair at more than $500. I get that it was an urgent situation and I’m happy to pay reasonably for the response but that mark-up bothered me. I called the office, had a long talk with the owner; sadly, she offered no consideration at all. Yes, it’s hard to find and keep skilled techs, but now seems that most HVAC firms have a business model like a car dealer’s service dept, far more corporate, less flexible or customer-considerate."
