"Excellent. David was very efficient at getting me quickly scheduled for the installation of the film and once at our home, he and his assistant neatly finished the job in only a few hours. He is truly an expert in this kind of work and is very meticulous. The film works great keeping out UV and heat rays and allows our home to stay full of sunshine throughout the day without damaging furniture, wall hangings, rugs etc. or adding to the AC load. Very happy with the film and David's work."

"Ron, the company president, came out to give me an estimate. He was very upfront and thorough, and I felt comfortable with what he told me. He seemed a little taken aback when I asked for a written contract, but wrote one up on the spot anyway. They called to follow up a week later, and I placed my order, along with the required $500 deposit. On installation day, the installers showed up on time. However, they didn't seem to speak much English, and I had to inform them they were looking at the wrong windows. With that cleared up, they set to work - without much of a break - for about 6 hours, installing the new glass blocks. I was impressed by their work ethic, but when they had questions the language barrier seemed pretty steep. The previous owner had run some wires through the old window sills, wires we had since disconnected. The installers, unfortunately, didn't ask before running them through the mortar. I noticed before the mortar dried, and was able to take the wires out and re-pack the mortar. Overall, they did a nice job, and the windows seem very securely installed."

"I had all my windows replaced and could not be happier! All the window options were explained very well during the consult so I had a complete understanding of what I could purchase and what each product offered. I was scheduled quickly and my ten windows were installed in a day and a half. They moved furniture to install my windows and everything was put back in it’s place. There was no debrIs or any mess left behind, as well as, any damage to my home. My windows look absolutely perfect and beautiful! The owner and his crew were very professional and have high quality trade skills. I couldn’t be happier and have already recommended this company to people."

"Well I don't think there are anymore descriptive adjectives left to describe the great work of Jake and his crew. I'll try to touch on some other aspects of his work. First his price is for a complete job. We had other estimates that would start out low for our deck then they would say do you want us to demo your old deck that's another cost. What about removal of the old wood that's another cost for a trash bin and so on. Never sure what the total would be. Next was how Jake was concerned where the trash bin would go as to not impact my wife and I. Then there was the clean up, every day no flat tires. As the job progressed Jake took care in protecting the new material that was installed by covering it and even laying down plywood on the flooring to protect it. Due to several rainy days he installed tarps and a temporary gutter to keep things dry. When ever any of the crew had to come into the house they would take off their shoes. Since I can't describe the work any better than the previous post and for those who might be from Missouri if you would like to see the actual work E-Mail me at dumptrsh@aol.com and in the subject put "see deck" and I will contact you and arrange a time to see it. I have already scheduled another job with Jake."

"After interviewing several window manufactures/sales representatives and their installers, I hired Anthony. <br /> Anthony's confidence as a sale representative and installer and, his acceptance of my terms as reasonable, persuaded me that he was a craftsman and, was selling me the most energy efficient window on the market, Elements by *Soft-Lite. <br /> Anthony agreed to everything I asked of him in the contract, including agreeing to: become a certified contractor by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, the Philadelphia Neighborhood Housing Services as a third party to the contract (administering Pennsylvania's Home Energy Efficient Loan Program), draft free installation without the ugly non-insulated head expander, pvc coil capping, two year labor warranty, etc. <br /> The first thing I noticed about the Elements windows was the significant noise reduction from outside and a feeling of a more even temperature throughout the house. Adding curtains did help raise the temperature a few degrees warmer by the windows. <br /> Note: Soft-Lite Windows has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a winner of the prestigious 2014 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for its outstanding contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by manufacturing energy-efficient products and educating consumers about energy efficiency. <br /> Source: http://www.soft-lite.com/wp-content/uploads/Energy-Star-Award-Press-Release.pdf <br />"

"Keystone Glass Block Company has to be the most professional contractor I've had to deal with in the past 10 years. Had to replace 2 windows, 1 in the utility room, and the other in the downstairs bathroom. Both windows were original to the house (62 years old) and were replaced with glass block. The price was reasonable and the work done was outstanding. The workers showed-up at the appointed time, were courteous, knew what they were doing, and cleaned up after the job was completed. I would definitely hire Keystone again when needed and would recommend them."

"We had 6 windows replaced. The estimate we got from Tom was about $300 less than we found at another company, and the windows Tom was selling were more efficient. We did not feel rushed or pressured into buying anything. We went to the office to see a sample of the windows. Estimate to installation took about 6 weeks, and they were even ready to be installed a week earlier. Installation was extremely smooth. It took about 7.5 hours. Everything was cleaned up. I highly recommend Delaware Valley Aluminum."

"Work was done quickly and efficiently. Quality of the effort and the windows was very good (they were not premium windows) and looked and functioned as well as any window I've used. The install quality was very good and I being somewhat picky, was very surprised and satisfied with the work. After work was done and inspection, there was no need for a call back. All good, and would hire again."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Chester Springs, PA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
