"The work was done properly and when some additional jobs were added, Mr Grant went out of his way to get subcontractor's in to fix the added jobs promptly. I was very happy with the results and would recommend Steven Grant Construction to anyone who needed a prompt quote and a properly done job. He took the extra steps to finish my job within the quote so I stayed on budget."

"Overall, it went well. The project took about 7 weeks. John, the contractor explained that he would provide me with an estimate of the material needed and I was to pay the supplier and he would arrange for the delivery of the material. In this case Home Depot priced the material and I paid Home Depot and received a detailed receipt. This system worked just fine for me. Deliveries were on time. JMJ Builders staff was always on time (Most of the time they were parked before 8am and came to the door at 8am.) They were personable and very polite. An important point is that John would virtually every evening after work would inform me of the progress, any problems and the plan for the next days. I did not have a detailed blueprint, but described what I wanted and he would communicate with me to ensure we were still on track. The job was completed by Nov 12 except for a few minor details which he returned to complete by Dec 1.I would not hesitate to refer John to potential customers. I certainly plan to call him next year I may need to do some additional work on the first floor. By the way not only was the staff prompt but they seemed to always be working. John was not at the project every day all day, but he did come by and spent time virtually every day.
His staff seemed to be very competent.
"

"Cornerstone Builders and Developers were initial recommended by Reading Plumbing to do the specialized work in the bathroom. It was necessary to remove the shelf brace to allow the plumber to get to the underside of the faucet. The shelf brace was an integral part of the front of the vanity. So the work had to be done carefully so that when put back it would look like the other shelf braces in the vanity. They did a good job and even painted it so you can not even tell it had been removed.
While having that work done, I had them put up some additional kitchen crown moulding which had not been done when the house was built. It was for a couple of small areas. The work was complicated by trying to get it to match up completely with the already installed pieces. The carpenter did a great quality job and spent extra time to make sure it was done right. He also painted the pieces to assure they match all the rest of the cabinets and moulding.
"

"It took awhile before ABC Construction and Restoration Co/United Construction came to do the work. We were not in a hurry, but it was over a month later after we contacted them and placed an Angie Deal payment of $99 for the work ($99 paid on 8/11/2014). The scheduled day of work ended up not seeing them either but we received a call the next day with an apology saying another job took longer than they thought. When they arrived there were two to do the work. The younger man did most of the work and the other was supervising. The work required the one man to take off our siding and place the moisture barrier and then put the siding back on. This took a good amount of the day for the sections they needed to do. Also they found that hornets had placed a nest of sorts under our siding for some reason and they weren't prepared for that (how could they...who would have guessed of such a thing?). Fortunately no one was stung and they got rid of them and finished the job. After they left I found nails all over from the siding that they had pulled (I am hoping they nailed the siding back up properly and that a nasty wind won't take it off) and they forgot to place my satellite cable back under the siding where it was before....hidden. I contacted them again and the next day someone came out and replaced the cable (I had already picked up all the nails I could find). I would recommend this company for it's prices and it's work but like most contractor companies you will need to have patience on the timing and completion of your job. It will be done right, but it might take a few calls to finally finish the job.
"

"The estimate for the job was within range of what I considered the job was worth.
Minor additional repairs were needed and done for cost of materials only.
After weather delay work was done as promised in two days , and clean up was good.
Inspection after a couple of rain events , no leaks or problems detected.
Time will tell if any amendment needed for review. Paper work for Warranty was provided.
Job Was Well Done

"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Chillicothe, IL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
