"I have used this company for years for satellite tv and home theater. They have even come out and made sense out of the mess of cords behind my television and installed outside speakers. Very full service and professional. I trust them completely to do a great job at a reasonable price."

"Javier did an AWESOME job installing our Samsung Frame TV. Our installation was tricky because we needed the frame tv installed on a swivel mount but also wanted it flush with the wall. Javier knew exactly what to do and you could tell he is very knowledgeable. We use this TV every day and the TV and mount work fabulously. Would absolutely recommend!"

"The bottom line – If you’re looking for a security system, go with WaveConnects. You won’t be disappointed. The detail – We’ve had a couple different security systems at our house over the many years we’ve owned it. Our initial system was installed during a remodel. Since walls were being opened, it was a wired (not wireless) system. Years later we had ADT update our system. Their system was fine, but they clearly only had one way of doing things: wireless. They neither bothered to use any of our wired sensors, nor installed any wired sensors of their own. Since ADT’s install, we’ve retrofit our home with automation/integration. Through our Savant app (and through our Savant handheld remotes), our entire house can be controlled: Lighting, Music, Cameras, Doorbells, Doors, Thermostats, and Pool. All, that is, except for the ADT security system (which is, apparently, proprietary and won’t play nicely with automation systems other than their own). So, I opted to install a security system compatible with Savant. Savant highly recommends the Elk Security System, so that’s what I insisted on having. After calling around, it was clear to me that most security companies will install only one (maybe two) systems. They were uninterested in taking requests. Without batting an eye, though, WaveConnects stepped up to the plate. They had never installed Elk, but were willing to give it a go. I had anticipated there being issues as a) there are always issues with electronics (i.e., nothing is truly plug-n-play); and b) WaveConnects had never installed an Elk System. To my surprise, no issues arose at all. The install went smoothly, quickly, and without incident. Further, contracting with WaveConnects was efficient, scheduling was easy, and Cory (the installer) actually showed-up early. Who does that? Cory, in fact, was incredibly professional and incredibly easy to work with. We loved Cory! He also didn’t cut any corners with the install. What do I mean by that? First, he found every wire from our original install, and he used those for sensors, when possible (instead of opting for wireless). Second, he found ways to run wired sensors to places we did not have any wire, only using wireless sensors where it made sense. Third, he made thoughtful recommendations for novel sensors where appropriate (heat sensors, flood sensors, glass break sensors, motion sensors). Again, go with WaveConnects. You won’t be disappointed."

"I purchased The Big Deal sometime in 2013. The first technician who came asked several curt questions about what I was looking to do and set up a home network. Unfortunately, it didn't work the way I had wanted it to. To Geek Choice's credit, they sent another technician at no cost to me to implement a fix that better met my needs.

"Excellent work. Louie and Jeff went right to work on the installation. They were very professional and enjoyable to work with. I would have no reservations in recommending New Wave Home Audio to my friends and neighbors or anyone for that matter. P.S. My wife liked it too, and that;s important!!!"

FAQs for home theater system or media center installation projects in Chula Vista, CA

For those on a budget, a home theater system can be installed for as little as $5,000. This simple setup, which doesn’t require professional installation, includes essential components that provide reliable visual and audio performance. It's a budget-friendly way to enjoy movies, TV shows, and live events from the comfort of your home.

Plan to spend at least $70,000 for a high-end home theater. At this price point, you’re paying for advanced components, including flagship projectors, reference-grade speakers, dedicated subwoofers, robust A/V receivers, and professional installation. These features deliver outstanding picture quality, rich surround sound, and a polished finish. Costs climb quickly when you add custom seating, acoustic treatments, and smart-home integration, so ask your installer for a detailed estimate before committing.

The ideal screen size for optimal home theater viewing ranges between 100 and 120 inches. A well-proportioned home theater room measures 24 feet by 15 feet, with a minimum ceiling height of nine feet. However, smaller spaces, such as 15 feet by 20 feet or 10 feet by 12 feet, can also work well. These dimensions enhance acoustics and visual performance, creating an immersive entertainment environment.

A well-built home theater room should last as long as the house, but the electronics inside need periodic attention. Plan to review your equipment every four to five years to see whether new formats, connection standards, or performance upgrades justify a change. Upgrading outdated projectors, receivers, or streaming devices keeps the system running efficiently and prevents compatibility issues, all while protecting the investment you’ve already made in the space.
