"Outstanding! If you need any masonry work done, give Pat a call. I searched for months to find a company that had good reviews and would show up to give me a quote. I contacted Pat on 10/19/20 and he came right out for a free estimate. He was honest and upfront on the work needed to be done. He sent me a written estimate and came back to speak with my husband. He answered all of our questions. We felt very comfortable hiring him for the job. I would give him an A++++."

"I had to sell TWO homes (one in NY State), buy a new home, remodel, and move. It was a very large task to accomplish involving decisions that required time, money, and energy. Kathleen helped every step of the way. I was stretched to my fullest and some times I would reach the breaking point. She would always supply professional advice, personal experiences, and a sense of humor that would re-center me. Kathleen was always prompt, well prepared and organized. I am almost at the end of my long journey (dealing with a contractor that should use some of Kathleen's work ethic)."

"It went very well. Mr Perozeni came out to estimate the job on time as promised and gave me a quote the next day over the phone. His price was fair and reasonable for the work that he had to do. It took two full days to break out the old brick wall, pour a new foundation for the new wall, and lay the bricks for the new wall. In doing so he had to remove, and later replace the sandstone step (200+ lbs). He was careful to match the color of the bricks and mortar to the house foundation. He had to move some landscape plants slightly which were in the way, but they were put back such that the final job looked as if nothing happened. Mr Perozeni and his son that worked with him were very professional, friendly and overall a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to anyone needing any kind of brick work and would hire them again myself if needed."

"We had spalled bricks and water damage from the top ~12 levels of brick from the chimney on our 35 year old house, had called a few companies to assess and give estimates of the work. Dale from Koontz construction was very professional and gave a very thorough quote, although just a little higher than a competitor. Initially we had gone with the other company, however that did not end up working out (thankfully no work was done, and important lesson learned; mason work is certainly not an area to skimp on and always pick quality over a few $$$). We called Koontz back and they were happy to get our job done. Dale was a perfectionist in picking the brick match with us, showing us the options he thought were best both on the ground in our hands as well as up on the top of the chimney to see the color in different lights. The whole team was quick with the work, clean, and I loved that a few times when I went out to watch the progress they were using a level to check and recheck placement . They did a great job, cleaned up quickly, and we received professional invoice afterward. I would not hesitate to recommend Koontz for chimney rebuild any day."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Cleveland Heights, OH

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
