"Mark was an absolute pleasure to work with. Called me back in a very short time when I inquired about the work needed. Was right on scheduled time for the quote, and I found the quote to be very reasonable and fair. Mark displays honesty and integrity and his work is second to none. I will hire him when needed again and would not hesitate to pass his name to others in need. Honest, fair, and very high integrity, are traits we need more of today. Also to keep me in the time frame that he suggested to me, he and his son came to my residence on Sunday and completed the job while I was at church. The highest praise to them for a job well done."

"My initial contact with Leelands was 10 years ago. I really admired the work they had done on my neighbors house. I just couldn't afford slate repair or replacement at the time. The employees were always courteous and patient. Fast forward to May 2018, I had exhausted all the patching my roof could take. I contacted Leelands, Donna promptly scheduled Luke to come out for an estimate. Luke was on time and provided honest feedback. I recieved a Photo Report, Field Condition Report and Proposals a few weeks later. It took me a few more months to decide how to proceed. In October, Leelands sent Gabriel and Miguel to make the repairs. They were prompt, courteous and worked diligently to finish the job. After a rainy 2018, my roof is still leak free."

"Amazing! Gino and staff were on time all the time. Their work ethic was wonderful. Gino was always on site when any work was done. There were no excuses, even when the gutter people cut one of the gutters 3 inches too short, Gino brought it to my attention, called the gutter folks in front of me, went himself and picked up a brand new gutter and had it installed all in less than 2 hours. <br /> The 6 people he had on the job could not have been more courteous to both my wife and myself, any time they entered our home it was shoes off, yes Sir, no Sir, yes Ma'am. I know for sure that Gino had on his staff both his Mother and Father, and the three other men as mentioned above, just simply could not have been nicer. <br /> I had requested specific materials be used and when they were delivered I was brought out to inspect and sure enough everything I wanted was there. <br /> I saw that G+A has a B rating with Angies List, all I can say is, from my point of view, they are A+. <br /> One final thought, we have recommeded G+A 5 times in the short time since they completed all our work, and I know they have booked my Son's home, are doing this very day a home of one of our Church Parishoners, and as soon as they finish that home they are moving across the street to his neighbor. Well done G+A, you quoted a price and stuck to it, did not try to pull the wool over our eyes at all, and have acted like ladies and gentlemen at all times. It was a pleasure doing business with your Company. <br />"

"To Expert House Movers <br /> We wanted to let you know just how pleased we are with the work you did on our house. Before we contacted you, we had several other contractors look at our home. We actually had hired another contractor, who took such a long time, never returned our calls, missed meetings, and took months to even get us our bid. And when that contractor did get us our bid, it was more than doubled our previously discussed budget!  <br /> That is when we called you, you came out immediately, was extremely professional, but more importantly, you had a personal interaction with both me and my wife throughout the entire process. You answered all our phone calls, all of our questions, and talked with us throughout the entire process. We felt extremely confident and assured through the entire lift. This house is our dream house and we are going to live in it until we die, and you knew how much it meant to us, and you took care of it as if it were your own. <br /> As you know, my wife ended up in the hospital with some complications with her surgery while you were working on our home, and you took such great care of our house. You knew she was very disappointed that she could not be there, as she designed the foundation window placements and had a big part in the doors and steps. Your crew was so kind and so professional and meticulous, that they knew that two particular windows were very important to my wife.  Your crew wanted to get them perfect and asked me some questions about them, that I could not answer. My wife was feeling better, but still in the hospital, and I called her on the phone, while your crew waited for me, as she and I discussed for several minutes the exact placement of the windows. Some minor changes had to be made and your crew could have easily just slapped the two windows in the new location, which was only slightly off of the original plan, and be done with it, but they stopped and pointed out where my wife originally wanted them and the new location difference and wanted to be sure that my wife understood the change, and wanted me to talk to my wife first. I was so very impressed that they made the adjustments on the spot that my wife suggested over the phone. I don’t think any other company would have gone through this much trouble to please their customers! <br /> You also were very respectful of our property, neighbors, and your crew were always very willing to stop and explain the process of what was going to happen next. Not one time did we ever feel like we were in your way. Actually, it was the opposite, we felt like you and your crew were very excited to show us your equipment and how it worked and actually wanted us around so we could see how it all worked and so we could see for ourselves how everything was perfect - and it was! <br /> We will always remember you and think of you so highly. Thank you for making the beginning our home building so easy and off to such a perfect start. There are so many things that can go wrong when redoing a home, and having it go off with such a perfect start gives us such great hope. You have certainly set bar very high for the other contractors that will be coming in for the other parts of the home! Your company and its crew should be very proud of its work. You do a job that is very difficult, complex and tedious, but you do it with care, expertise, and perfection. We actually miss you guys and wish you were around. You are like family to us. We only wish we could rate your service and staff A++ , if there were such a rating. <br /> All our best and blessings, <br /> Randy and Elizabeth <br />"

"He showed up around 9am and got right to work.  He worked quickly and efficiently only stopping for the concrete to cure.  Additionally, he offered suggestions for future repairs but explained that they are not needed to be done before the winter, showing his trustworthiness in my book (I've been seeing and hearing about far too many contractors taking advantage of the emergency of the situation and pushing for repairs that are not critical and can wait or not be done at all).  We will be hiring him again in the spring for those repairs he noted and other stone work we need done."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Cobleskill, NY

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
