"They did a great job installing a new hot water heater in 2015. In 2021, I noticed water at the base of the tank (possibly a problem with the drain valve). I filled out the online service request form but did not hear back. In the past three weeks, I have called the service line, and cell phone number listed on their profile several times. I was able to leave a message once (approximately two weeks ago). All other times the voice mailboxes have been full. I have not received any response to the online service request form, nor the phone message I left. It is disappointing and frustrating to spend 1k on a hot water heater, but then simply not to be able to reach anyone or get a callback. If the business is shuttered or overwhelmed for any reason, it would be professional and appropriate to post a message to that effect, at the very least."

"Let?s start up by saying this has been a total nightmare where from the beginning Craig came out to my house. Said he was the owner and tried to dry base my place and caused so much damage to my basement that we are going to get a lawyer involved now I?ve had numerous basement companies out and they said his system has failed. He wants to try to send a letter saying oh it?s coming through cracks in the basement when it?s clearly coming from his dry track system that failed in about 15 different spots. This is very ridiculous. I would steer clear this company. Do not waste your money. Do not waste your time. Stay far far away from this company check out all their other names they have numerous different names under their self then they want to say it?s coming through the cracks in the floor when you can clearly see where their track system failed a numerous spots. It?s a bunch of horseshit they don?t answer phone calls. They?ll leave you hanging dry and they?ll cost you thousands "

"I am speaking from the seller’s perspective after having an inspection done on a house I was selling, and Patrick did the inspection. Thoroughness is definitely laudable. However, this inspector went to the point of questioning the color choices of the owner. Within his report he wrote “ Find out who picked the colors on the walls.”. If this had a negative affect on the value of the house, this might be reasonable. For example, if every room was painted black. However, it seems unprofessional and outside the scope of a home inspection to be making comments on the color palette of a home. Additionally, spot radon testing was done by this inspector. He even notes in his report that this is not what the EPA recommends to determine if mitigation is necessary. This puts both the buyer and seller in a difficult situation. The seller and now has a report that indicates that there could be a problem with radon and is forced to act on it. The buyer, additionally, either hast to spend , more money to have a proper radon survey done or has to request medication without good evidence. This inspectors time would be well served doing a EPA approved, radon evaluation on a house and keeping his interior design expertise to himself."

"Our home well pump stopped working - at a very hot time of summer. We use a lot of waster within the house and have a large lawn irrigation system. I called Dyer Well Drilling prior to 8 a.m. and they sent two technicians out, Kyle and Mason, who came to the house within hours to ascertain the problem, which was that our system was nearly 30 years old and simply needed to be replaced. They were very helpful. Subsequently, a technician by the name of Harley replaced the well pump, motor controls, and interior pressure tank and control box. He was super competent, courteous, and dedicated, staying well into the evening to get the project done. The system is high-tech and very quiet, and our water pressure has increased significantly. I was remarkably impressed with the responsiveness of the team at Dyer Well Drilling. Had they simply waited one additional day, we would have had to get a hotel room and we would have lost a lot of flowers/plants due to our irrigation system being down. Super impressed all around."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Cohoctah, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
