"My front and side windows were very drafty as the wind comes from the southwest and blows down the soffits. My wife wanted to replace the windows which would have been very expensive. When USA Insulation installed the additional insulation to the entire first floor of my 1-1/2 story house, we noticed a big difference in the first 3 days. The house is much quieter from outside noise, there is no drafts in the window frames, and the furnace isn't kicking on every half hour. We have a pellet stove insert in the living room and haven't had to light it in the past week and the outside temperatures have been in the mid-thirties. I'm saving money on propane and pellet fuel. The crew that installed the insulation came to my house on time. They were very courteous and polite. They did a full house walk-through inspection and explained every thing they needed to do. They worked together as a team and finished the job in less time than I expected. They cleaned up before they left and you'd never guess what was done. I don't normally do reviews or surveys but I had to comment on this. I highly recommend USA Insulation and have already told my friends and family about this excellent work."

"My only problem was that the salesman promised parts of the install that weren't in keeping with how the roof was actually installed. (i.e. said would that if temps. were below 40 degrees, the shingles would be kept in a heated van then installed with extra sealant and use of a heat gun) I would wish that the salesmen would know how the work is actually done and not give customer assurances that are not going to be carried through."

"They told it would not matter that we didn’t get the insulation in the walls, but it was very cold last winter. It is code in our town, that we needed insulation in the walls, but they didn’t know the answer to that after I told them a handful of times. Their installers were very nice and did a very nice job though."

"This was the second company I hired to do this job over this winter. The first company was not so good and virtually did nothing. for the money. I ended up calling numerous other roofing companies until I found  Highland.  Highland was highly recommended by a member of my family for doing this kind of work in addition to also having good ratings on Angie's List. However, it was not listed that they did ice dam removal which is why I did not call them earlier.
Highland ACTUALLY did what was needed at the same cost as a prior company who I will also rate on Angie's List. They actually REMOVED the ice jams and got the snow off all the offending areas and even shoveled all the paths after throwing the ice and snow down from the roof.  The leaking stopped within an hour after they were gone.  It had been leaking since the first company came 2 weeks before. Because of this horrible winter I was unable to find anyone else with the time to schedule me for this work ( or in some cases even call me back) until I called Highland. They were here within 4 days. They actually DID what I was paying them to do which was remove the ice and snow so the leak would stop. It was going to warm up and  I was dreading the flood I KNEW I was going to get in my kitchen. They were very sensitive to this problem and gave great care to get all the ice and snow off so the gutters could drain.
I would highly recommend this company to do anything needed to my roof. They have integrity and do what you are paying them to do. In addition they were cautious with my roof's ice shield and heat tape (which obviously didn't work this year).

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
