"Jim knows what he is doing and is very resourceful/creative at solving difficult problems.  He has been updating my 45 year old home since last summer.  If you expect a rigid 9a - 5p schedule, that may be difficult due to his purchasing of supplies, crew scheduling, and so on, but he will be there and do what needs to be done to get the job completed well.  Jim does not have a problem with fix-it/touch-up issues which may arise after the big job is done.  I recommend Jim highly and have other future projects, which he will be doing  as well.  In addition, Jim has replaced a outdoor basement window-well, custom built shelving/garden station in the garage, power washed the house exterior . . . the list is long! <br />"

"He was very patient. I bought the deal for outside work. He came to my house and showed me all of the projects that he could get done in the 6.5 hours. As I added a job to the list, I kept thinking that it was too much and he told me that I could add more. He got all of my jobs done in the time allotted and they all look beautiful. He even through in some light bulbs and a wax ring that doesn't seem to be on my bill but were replaced. The best part was that he purchased all of the items for me and did it way more efficiently than I ever could have. He was neat, timely and even played with my dogs. I would recommend Tim to anyone needing home repairs of any kind! He truly is a gem!"

"Eric (owner) and Russ were great!  Eric gave me a quote and generally seemed interested in the job and me as well.  I received quotes from other companies, and they treated me like a number and did not seem interested in even doing the work.  Ultimately, Eric and Russ were able to complete the work on time and it looked great.  The pricing was within reason based on what was completed and the quality of work. <br /> I would recommend to anybody looking to finish their basement or remodel home! <br /> I feel bad for the delay in this review, as I stopped my Angie's List subscription and forgot to leave a positive review. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Derek was a pleasure to work with! He did everything we asked of him and suggested a few great ideas! He was always on time, worked long hours until the job was done, and was professional in all manners of dealing with him. He completed the job as requested and most importantly, it was finished to our satisfaction. We will hire him for any future jobs needed in our home."

"There are those who will quote a lower price, but no one offered the complete service Ray Kluth's team provided. The project was done in good time and on budget. All of the crew were friendly and helpful when we had questions or needed expert advice. We felt fortunate that Ray has access to master carpenter, Scott Pikorz, who took care of a few structural issues in our 25-year old home, e.g. wood rot under back door was totally removed and structure re-built to better than original spec. I can't say enough about the skill and professionalism Ray's team demonstrated throughout the project. Ray would stop by regularly to make sure things were proceeding as planned and pitched in himself to keep the project on schedule in spite of rain days. We've had the home painted twice before, but this is the first time we experienced what a real painter could do. Well worth the investment."

"Dan Molnar tested me shortly after I messaged through Angie's list. Very courteous. Within a few days i had a quote that was better than I had expected. A little over 4 weeks later and everything is done and to a level of quality that honestly exceeded my expectations. The crew who did the concrete were polite and professional, the slab is smooth (they apologized for it not being better- the weather wasn't great but it looks perfect to me) and they cleaned up everything- including excess concrete piles. Their carpenter built custom doors for the previously unfinished and irregular entrance and they are of very good quality down to the hardware. I have dealt with many contractors before and without exaggeration this is the best company I have ever dealt with. I recommend them highly."

"The guy who did the power washing, and the sub contractor who did all of the painting, were great, and did an amazing job. I was new to this, and didn't realize that I should have found a smaller company, who actually does the work, instead of paying a much higher price, for quoters, project managers, etc. One of my neighbors tried to help me out, by letting me know that I could have saved a lot of money by doing this, but it was too late. So I recommend to anyone needing painting done, to find a smaller company, where the owner is the quoter, estimater,, project manager, and actually does the work, etc. rAlso I had a big problem with communication with the "quoter" for the company, and him not doing what he said he was going to do. I was going to cancel the project, but the owner of the company came out with the "quoter" and smoothed things over with me. The main reason that I didn't cancel with this company, was because they did offer financing, (one year, same as cash), and because I have already paid for a lot of projects, and still have more to do. But I could have paid probably half of the price to a "sub contractor. " I just recommend that you research companies, and take some time to think about it, before you agree to anything."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Coloma, MI

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
